Too Clingy 2

I picked up some street food as I ate my fill and gave the rest to hawks as we began to investigate some of the material I found. "So you're saying we still haven't found the leader?" I asked as he finished his last bite and nodded. "Okay well this is what I found so far" I said as I scattered my papers on the table and began to explain. I was to busy to notice the ringtone of my phone as I continued talking. After we finished our discussion me and hawks went out for a quick patrol and then I went home. It was nine at night it was way past the time I usually come home but I didn't mind I purposely took the long way home. I unlocked the door and locked it as I set my keys on the small tray near the door. I was going to step into the living room when I saw Shota on the phone. "Yes I've called and I haven't heard any-" he cut himself off as he saw me. "I'll talk later hawks she just got home bye" and with that he hung up and walked towards me. "Where have you been do you know how worried I was? You didn't text or call telling me you changed your location and you didn't bother to answer my calls I thought it was your day off today" he said as he crossed his arms in front of me. "Sorry must have slipped my mind" I said as I tried walking past him only to be pulled back. "Slipped your mind? You always tell me when your plans change" he said as I made him release my wrist. "I don't know I didnt want to be annoying" I said as I began to undress and set my costume in the washer as I went into the bathroom to take a shower.

After I refreshed myself I quickly went out and I changed into pijama shorts and a t-shirt. Shota laid in bed leaning on my side as I went into the hall to turn on the AC and slid in the covers I curled to my side far away from shota and began to drift to sleep when I was pulled to his chest. "What are you doing? You always cuddle with me" he said as scooted farther away from him which left a frown on his face. "Y/n-" I cut him off "Not tonight" I said as I curled my legs to my chest. "Okay" he said disappointed but he left me alone for the night well barely every time he would try touching me I would shrug it off and he would notice.

Morning came and I woke up earlier than shota as I found my costume in the dryer and took it out as I slipped inside. I quickly cooked a light breakfast for two as I ate mine and wrapped a plate for shota and set it in the fridge. I said nothing like I would usually say in mornings I just left out the door with my phone in hand.

I sat down on my desk as hawks sat across from me. "What do you want?" I asked as I looked up at him from the papers I was reviewing. "You're acting strange today" he said as he crossed his arms while observing me. "Stop that I don't like it when you observe me like a hawk" I said but I instantly let out a giggle as he arched an eyebrow. "Maybe I'm thinking to much about it see you even made a stupid pun" he said as I gasped playfully at him. "My pun wasn't stupid excuse you" I said as I set down the papers and crossed my arms. "Yeah yeah whatever cmon I'm bored let's go patrol" he said as I rolled my eyes. "Just because you're bored doesn't mean I can just leave my work behind" I said as he stood up and pulled me by my hands. "I'll give it to someone else just please accompany me already" he said tugging me. I had no choice he was my boss either way. "Where are we going?" I asked as he walked in front of me still holding my hand. "We are going to patrol an area where the supposedly 'leader' is at from our investigation" he said as we made it outside. He stood in front of me as he expanded his wings and took a hold of me in his arms. "Before we take flight do you want to text your little boyfriend?" He asked as I shook my head. "It's fine let's just go" I said as he frowned slightly but held me closer to his chest as we began to fly.

"Next time don't dive in the clouds!" I yelled as we landed. I took off goose feathers from my hair as he laughed at me. "My bad your reaction was just to priceless I'll try not to do it again but no promises can be made" he said with a smirk as I punched his chest as he winced in pain playfully which almost earned him a real punch. I let out a big sigh "So is this the area?" I asked as he nodded. "If we were going to investigate shouldn't we have dressed more low key?" I asked as he shrugged. I felt irritated but I didn't say anything. "Whatever let's just get this done" I said as he nodded and we both began to walk around.

After our small investigation we did learn a few things here and their from the leader of Japan's illegal drug and weapons black market goods. We came back late as hawks flew me home and I hesitated to open the door but I eventually did. I came in and I was greeted with shota bringing me into a hug which I returned but I pushed away shortly after so I wouldn't be 'Too Clingy'. Maybe I was being petty I really didn't know.
