Part 3- A Deal with the Devil

Sidharth glanced up as he heard someone knock on his cabin door..
Did the girl arrive already.. he frowned..
But instead it was his best friend Dev who came in..
"Hello Sidharth.. whatsup bro??" He spoke lazily while getting comfortable on sofa..
"Dev.. dont you have work.."Sidharth questioned while singing the documents..
"I am giving myself a well deserved break Sid.. you know how stressful catering business is.. anyways where is the teacher?? Did you find her.."
Sidharth nodded at him.. it was Dev who had collected information about the girl.. Dev's company had recently done catering work for St.Maria's school for an event.. therefore he knew Dev could easily talk around and get details for him..
"She is coming here in a while.. and Dev thanks for collecting the information.." Sidharth thanked him gratefully..
"No problem Sid.. and from the details i got she is very good with teenagers.. i am sure she can help Pia" Dev replied..
Sidharth glanced at his watch and got up from his seat.."Dev seriously go back to your work.. she will be arriving in any minute.."
Dev raised his eyebrow.."Why are you trying to get rid of me? Let me guess.. this girl is a hottie?? Is that why??"
Sidharth frowned.. "Oh please she is not at all my type.. she is filled with attitude.. she is just.." Sidharth struggled through words.. Since he couldnt come up with any words he changed the subject.. "Anyways why are you so interested.. i thought you are overcoming your breakup.."
Dev stood up and winced with the mention of breakup..
"Dont remind me bro.. its over and dusted.. its not as if i have been in love.. I dont even believe in love ..such a waste of emotions.. I can never see myself falling in love.." Dev shrugged of the topic..
"Now thats something i agree.."They both laughed on the comment and gor interrupted by a knock..
His secretary walked in and informed.."Sidharth.. Ms.Shehnaaz is here to meet you.."
"Dev you need to leave.." Sidharth called him out but Dev ignored him..
Just then Shehnaaz worked in.. She gave a small smile to Dev and glanced at him with a frown.. Why the hell she is smiling at Dev but making sullen face when looking at him.. Sidharth thought irritatedly.. why the hell am i caring about this..
"Dev.." he muttered out impatiently but Dev chose to ignore him.. instead he walked upto Shehnaaz and offered his hand.. "Hello.. you must be Shehnaaz.. i am best friend of Sidharth.. Dev Singhania.." he spoke warmly..
Sana smiled at him shook his hand.. "Nice to meet you.."
Sidharth walked upto Dev and nudged him.. "Can you please leave.. i have some important matter to discuss.."
"Okay fine!!" Dev replied dramatically.. "but i am not leaving.. i have to meet the sponser and i want you to accompany with me.." after saying that he walked out..
"Please have a seat.. "he instructed her.. Sana hesitated for a minute and then finally set down ..
Sidharth smirked looking at her... "So you came finally.. I almost thought you will reject the offer"
Sana folded her arms staring at him dispassionately.. "I only came because i have no other option.."
"Well..." he stood up from his seat making his way towards her.. "Everyone has choices in life.."
Sana rolled her eyes.. she frowned as she saw him get close.. he made her nervous.. however she tried her best to not look effected.."Can we get past this.. I really need to hear about the job offer.."
Sidharth chuckled.."Ofcourse.. thats the reason why i asked you to meet me.." He leaned towards her.. As his breath mingled with hers she felt her heartbeat quicken.. "Dont worry darling.." He whispered.. "You arent just my type.." he stared right at her lips... "Not at all"
Sidharth frowned for a moment.. hadnt he been repeating same lines yesterday too.. who was he here convincing.. himself or her..
And she smelled devine.. it almost made him lean towards her more..
The tension between them was very evident.. which troubled Sana.. she didint like it at all..
She took a hasty stepback which once again made him smirk...
"Get to the point.. Tell me about the job.." She folded her arms glaring at him..
"Okay..." he shrugged and walked back to his seat.. Sidharth set down and his expression was no serious.. "I want you to tutor my niece..".
"Niece.." Sana frowned.. she had not expected for this offer at all.. She had thought he would be offering her normal office job.. "What is her age? I used to teach for teenagers.."
He nodded.. "My niece is a teenager only.. and she really needs help.." he leaned towards her once again.. "i really need help Ms.Shehnaaz.. she needs tutoring for 3 months.. i will draw up contract for the period and you will be paid on weekly basis.." he explained to her..
"Well.. Since teaching is my field that seems totally fine with me.. i am ready to accept the offer.." Sana informed as she took a breath of relief..
"But.." he interrupted.. "There is a catch.."
She frowned deeply...
"You will have to come and live in my place..." he informed smiling
"What... No freaking way!!" Sana snapped at him outraged.. Why the hell would she go and live in his place.. There was no way she would share a space with this guy..
Sidharth rolled his eyes seeing her going off.. "Listen.. i think we need to discuss this comfortably before we finalize anything.." he wrote something on a note and passed it to her.. this is my address meet me here at 8pm tonight.. I will get the contract ready by then.. "
Sana took the note frowning.. "I am still not saying yes for living in.. I dont want to live in your house i can come for tutoring everyday.."
Sidharth got up from his seat.. "Dont take any decisions right now.. give up a thought on this and let me know tonight.."
Sana got up as he started to leave.."I have decided now only! I dont want to live in your house!"
Sidharth turned back to her with a smile.."See darling.. i would love arguing with you okay.. but i really need to leave for a meeting right now.. and i cant waste my time on such petty things.."
Sana glared at him.. what a ugly attitude this guy had.."Let me remind you.. It is you who approached me for help.. I havent come begging!" What did he think of himself.. He was so full of himself she just hated it..
Their banter got interrupted by Dev.. "Children.. Children.. calm down stop fighting.." he turned to Sana.. "Ms.Shehnaaz would you like a lift back home?"
Sidharth interrupted instantly.. "Dev we have a meeting remember??"
Dev shrugged.."So what we could drop her on the way.. "
Sana interrupted them politely.."Thank you for the offer but no.. My friend will be here to pick me up.."
Sana rushed out of the building and Ishika ran up to her instantly.. "I have been waiting for you for past 10 minutes!"
"Sorry Ishi the meeting took long.." Sana apologized her friend..
"HOLY SHIT!! Is that Mr.hottie coming this way.." Ishika whispered excitedly..
Sana turned around to see Sidharth and Dev approaching them..
"Hello Shehnaaz.. Is this your friend.." Dev stared at Ishika curiously.. Meanwhile Ishika was busy staring at Sidharth admiringly..
"Yes this is Ishika.. My bestfriend.. Ishika this is Mr.Dev he is friends with Mr.Sidharth.." Sana introduced them..
Dev instantly offered his hand for Ishika.."Hello beauty.. Nice to meet you.."
Sidharth frowned seeing the Dev was being all talkative suddenly.
Ishika glanced at Dev frowning.."Hello.." She ignored his outstreched hand and turned to Sidharth.. "Hello Mr.Sidharth.. I cant believe i am meeting you.. And my bestfriend speaks about you all the time.."
"Now is that so??" Sidharth looked at Sana with a smirk..
Sana gasped and nudged Ishika mortified.."Ishi what on the earth!! Stop lying.. speak about him my foot..! Anyways bye we need to rush right now.." She dragged Ishika away before she could say anything more embarassing..
Sidharth shook his head and headed towards his car.. He got inside and Dev followed him.. As the driver drove off he realized Dev was still looking outside with a daze expression..
"Hello.. Dev.. ??" He waved his hand infront of his face..
"Bro!!" Dev turned to Sidharth.. "I think i am in love!!"
"What the F**k dude!!" Sidharth frowned at him..
"I am not lying... It was just the moment i saw that Ishika girl sparks started to fly.. My heartbeat increased.. Do you think she is single.. can you.."
Sidharth interrupted Dev instantly.. "No i am not going to ask for you.. and seriously man stop all this nonsense you are being so weird right now.."
Dev shook his head.. "Dude if only you ever experienced such feeling you would understand.."
Sidharth's thoughts went back to Shehnaaz.. he recalled the moment he met her.. their eyelock and the way time stood still..
He shook his head and stared ahead.. no way he would never get that feeling..
Love was only for fools..
