Chapter 10 - Plan; Defeat and Rescue

"Good job Pakkun" Kakashi bent down and patted his head.

"Should we head out yet?" The small dog asked.

"No not yet," Kakashi shakes his head, "We still haven't made a plan yet."

"Alright, call me back when your ready to head out." With that the dogs disappeared by a puff of smoke.

"Alright," Kakahi sighed and stood back up, "We should consider making a plan for how we are going to come about this mission."

"I was thinking the same" Gaara nodded his head and led Kakashi to his office.

"Actually before we start this meeting, would you mind if I bring someone into the room to help?" Kakashi asked politely.

"We could use all the ideas we got."

Kakashi walked out of the room for a moment and came back in with a pineapple haired, shōgi playing guy.

"Shikamaru," Temari pointed to the Chūnin who was yawning loudly, "Your brought him?" Temari let out a small giggle.

"What a drag" Shikamaru groaned and sat down.

"You should've just brought Naruto if you were going to bring this lazy fart" Temari chuckled and Shikamaru sighed.

"Temari stop flirting with your boyfriend, you can make out behind a building later" Kankuro sighed.

"BAKA!" Temari shouted hitting him in the gut with her fan. "SHIKAMARU IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE MY BOYFRIEND!" (Whatever you say Temari XD)

"Can we just get on with the meeting?!" Gaara asked, his temper starting to get the best of him.

"Please," Shikamaru said with a sigh, "what a troublesome day."

"Are we just going to be sending a few on the mission or is everyone going?" Gaara asked.

"More than likely everyone will be going, if we are up against a strong enemy then we'll need all the help we can get" Kakashi stated.

"Alright," Gaara nodded his head, "Were you able to find a scent?"

"Yes," Kakashi nodded his head, "we can head out whenever we are ready, alright?"

"Alright," Gaara nodded slightly, "Once we create a plan we should be able to head out" Gaara added.

"So do we have any ideas?' Kankuro piped in.

"Actually," Shikamaru cleared his throat catching their attention, "We should have two groups head out in seperate directions, in case one group gets attacked the other group can come in for back up and the enemy wont be expecting it."

"You just thought of all of this, right now?" Kankuro asked, giving Shikamaru a shcoked expression.

"Yup" Shikamaru said popping the 'p'.

"But there is one problem," Shikamaru leaned forward and places his elbows on his knees, with his hands folded against his upper lip, "We only have one medic, which is my teammate Ino, if more than one of us gets injured or worse Ino the mission will be a failure."

"Shikamaru's got a point," Kakashi glanced at Shikamaru, "Do you think one a medic from here could join us on our mission? If not i understand.'

"No, no its alright," Gaara reassures Kakashi, "Temari will you go and ask our top medics who would like to join us on our mission?"

"Us? Your not coming are you Gaara?!"

"Of course I'm coming, it's my fault that she's gone and I want to help get her back," Gaara nodded his head and leaned back into his chair, "I'm not taking no for an answer" Gaara crossed his arms over his chest, giving Temari a stern look.
