The other dead men avoid Anton around christmas, not because he's grumpy, but because its very unsettling how he suddenly goes into christmas mode, and the hotel is coverd in lights and he refuses to take off his christmas hats and antlers and shouts 'It Christmas! Merry Christmas!' at innocent passer-by and pushes people under mistletoe. They strongly suspect Larrikin hypnotises him, but have yet to find proof. Larrikin will neither confirm or deny anything.
