I awakened from that same old dream.

It never stopped coming back to me for some reason.

It had always been a part of me since I was sixteen years old.

It had been five years of an awful past but I had always managed to keep moving on.

At once the wounds that had once badly hurt had already started to evolve into slowly waning scars.

I was grown, into an adult, twenty one years old and also going to attend my final year at the University.

I was studying in the faculty of industrial Arts and was attending Oxford University.

I was not so popular in school but surprisingly, I had very many friends who even knew my sexuality.

I only became prouder as I grew, coming out in society as it was slowly becoming more open to people like me.

By 2017, everything was alright for an average gay boy like me, I guessed that it would remain that way.

I went to shower and the instant that I was done, I headed straight into my kitchen.

I lived in a small apartment not so far from the University, that way, it saved me some time walking to go and study.

I shared the block with Katy and she unfortunately got a room on the floor right under mine.

The instant I got into the kitchen, I prepared myself a cup of coffee.

Wearing my robe, I walked to the balcony of my apartment and then I looked in a distance.

I gazed at the roof tops in the far East where the sun rose.

Looking at the sunrise was an old habit of mine that I never had any success getting rid of.

Most times, the sunrise gave me comfort and the assurance of a perfect day, sometimes, it gave me memories of an awful past.

I couldn't help but remain standing there as I sipped my coffee.

I was suddenly immersed in my thoughts until I heard my phone ringing from the living room.

I snapped out of my thoughts and then I made my way to the centre table where I had placed it.

I studied the screen to see who it was that was calling me at that very early hour of the day.

Not to my surprise it was Katie so I picked up.

"Good morning Kate." I said.

"Good morning Nathan." She replied.

"What is with you?" I asked.

"So, I sadly won't be going with you to the University today." She replied.

"Let me guess, Henry is driving you there and you need some quality time together." I said.

"Yes." She admitted.

"He is really the one person that makes you forget you have a brother." I said.

"He is also the one person that is going to make me happy for the rest of my life." Katie replied.

"How sure are you?" I asked her.

"Well, I wanted you to be the first person to know, yesterday when he took me out for dinner, he promised that once we are done graduating, he is going to propose to me." Katie replied.

I laughed hysterically.

"That is very funny." I said to her.

"Why?" Katie asked.
