I was binge watching Netflix and I had not shifted from the sofa for about three hours.

At that time of the week when I so loved to chill, I would take some time off and dive into the world of entertainment.

Suddenly, I heard someone ring my door bell and I muted the television channel.

I remained there waiting to confirm if I had heard the door bell ring very well.

It rung the second time and it sounded clearer than before that I could tell it was on my door.

I stood up from my seat and then I walked towards the door.

I opened it and to my surprise I studied the person standing in front of me from the feet.

Moving upwards, I noticed that there was something that was so familiar with that physique.

When my eyes landed on the face I so deeply resented and stared in the brown eyes I never wished to have a glance of again.

I slammed the door shut and put my back on it.

"It must be fake, may be I am hallucinating." I thought to myself.

It was proven real when the door bell rang over and over again.

I gripped my head and then started to fall down onto the ground with my fingers tightly holding my hair.

The ringing continued to linger in my ears.

"Go away." I yelled at him.

"We need to talk." Conan replied.

"I told you last time, there is nothing for us to talk about." I said.

"Just give me a chance please, I can explain." Conan said.

"Go away, I do not want to see you." I continued to yell.

"I won't if you do not have a word with me, I won't leave this place either." Conan replied.

"Just go away, I do not want to see you." I said.

"I won't, just please listen to me." Conan replied.

I was instantly reminded of everything that I was struggling so hard to forget.

Those memories of our love, they all came back looking fresh before my eyes.

Those pictures and videos of a sweet fantasy replayed without stopping and it constantly made my head ache.

I couldn't hear anything else or a single sound or two.

The most dominant thing at that very moment was the sound of me sobbing and crying bitterly.

It felt as though my wounds from those past five years had been scratched open again.

It felt as though those scars had burst into something bigger and more immense.

I supposedly couldn't think of anything else in the world other than that awful memory.

That one Christmas night everything went wrong and that one year I could call my ANNUS HORRIBILIS.

It was so dark and my jolly mood and comfort from earlier had already been destroyed in a matter of seconds.

"Please let me in." I heard Conan whisper.

"No." I replied in a sob surprised after hearing him hammering the door a couple of times.

I could feel him descending and to my very own surprise, I heard him sobbing.
