I sat down and turned on another episode of The Office.
A lot of people tell me how strange they think it is that someone as young as me would be so addicted to The Office, as it 'wasn't a very interesting show.'
But for me, it was a comfort. It was something I could lose myself in when I felt overwhelmed by the world. It was my safe place; like a security blanket.
And anyway, at least it was a safe addiction. At least I wasn't addicted to drinking or drugs or other nasty stuff that would hurt me and others.
My absolute favourite episode is Threat Level Midnight, the one where Micheal Scott shows the entire office the movie he made.
I had even learned the Scarn dance.
Lots of people would just shake their heads at me when I quoted The Office, or made some sort of reference to it.
But it's a safe addiction, and it helps me feel safe and comforted.
A/N of course I had to make this story about Billie's addiction to The Office, since I love it too. I'm not as addicted to it as Billie is, tho. (This is still not from Billie's POV tho.)
