"Jedha City-  also known as the Holy City, NiJedha or simply Jedha, was an ancient city located on the desert moon of Jedha. In the city was the ancient Temple of the Kyber, a great temple held sacred by those who followed the teachings of the Church of the Force."

Coronet teems with life. Factory workers, droids, tourists and every species you can think of too busy to notice the little girl hiding behind a giant street sign. She relies on the shadows now that time is not on her side. She can't afford the luxury of playing or friends or fun. She's trying to survive.

From her hiding place, she has a clear view of the streets of Corellia. Her eyes scan the crowds until they find purchase on a man who clearly comes from wealth. She gathers that he's most likely an offworlder.

The perfect victim.

She observes the lump on the side of the man's light blue cape. Credits. The tears aren't difficult to conjure anymore, as she moves her bony little legs as fast as she can towards him.

"Sir please help me! He's chasing me! He's going to hurt me!" She cries as she moves under his cape to hide from her imaginary perpetrator and begins to stick her skinny fingers in the pocket, ready to claim her prize. But a hand grabs her wrist to stop her.

"Well hello little thief," the man smirks down at her. "If you wanted credits you should've just asked,"

Her eyes blow wide, "I- I didn't..." she stammers. "I'm sorry sir." The little girl bows her head in shame and turns to walk away from him, but the sound of his voice stops her.

"What's your name, kid?"

She pauses. "Who's asking?" He chuckles at her defiance, her cheeks turning a whole new shade of red.

"The name's Lando."

"Wait... Lando? As in the Lando Calrissian? The smuggler? Pilot of the most famous Corellian YT-1300 Freighter?" She gushes, she can't believe that the man her parents used to tell her bedtime stories about is standing in front of her. "General of the Rebel Alliance? THAT Lando?" Her mouth hangs open, and she wishes her parents were here to meet him, but her heart pains at the thought and she pushes it down.

"I used to be all of those things," He laughs. "Say kid, you know anything about flying?"

"I've never flown before, but I used to work on ships all the time with- " she stops herself, the memory too hard to relive. "I used to work on them a lot, so I know the basics."

"Well then it looks like I have a job for you in Cloud City if you want it. The pay isn't much, but you'll have a roof over your head, food, and I might even throw in a piloting lesson or two," he winks at her.

Lando Clarissian. Offering her, a Corellian street rat, a job. She knows there's nothing tying her to this Force-forsaken planet anymore, and she would be a fool not to take it. Anything beats scavenging for scraps and a few credits every day.

"That sounds stellar, General! When do I start?"

"How about now?" He smirks

She smiles up at him and nods, then begins to follow him to his ship. Her short legs struggling to keep up.

"So, what is your name kid?"

The ship comes into view and she stops at the bottom of the ramp to turn and give him her hand. "Jedha. My name is Jedha."

He realizes at that moment she reminds him of his own daughter, who was taken by the First Order years ago. Looking at her, he feels something he hasn't since then. Hope. He smiles down at her and shakes her hand. "Welcome aboard, Jedha."
