Things Are Looking Up

Phil's POV:

The next morning I woke up and had the same clothes on I had last night. I wasn't planning on spending the night here.

I made my way to the kitchen and saw Pj an Chris making breakfast.

"Hey there Phil, did you have a good sleep?" Pj said.

I nodded. I didn't want to tell them how I was up most of the night thinking about Dan.

We all sat down and had some breakfast. Then we decided to head to my house to play some games.

When we finally arrived I left Pj and Chris in the living room while I went to take a quick shower and change clothes.

After I finished I went downstairs ready to play some games when all of a sudden I could Dan's voice.

I walked into the living room and froze.

Dan was here. He saw me and gave me a small smile.

"Phil... Hi."

I didn't know if I should talk to him. I missed him but at the same time, he hurt me.

"Phil we heard a knock at the door and it was Dan, so we decided to let him in. I think you two should talk about what happened." Pj said. "We could hang out some other day."

They started walking out when Chris stopped and leaned in to tell me something.

"Hey, just give him a chance, and good luck okay."

Dan and I were left alone and we were both silent. Finally Dan spoke to break the silence.

"Phil.. You have to believe me when I tell you there's nothing between Laney and I. She came over crying and I didn't know what to do and then out of nowhere she kissed me! I pulled away though I swear!"

I didn't say anything.

"Phil. I love you. More than anyone else in the world. You make me happy and I would never want to hurt you."

I still didn't say anything.

"Phil.. Please say something. Anything."

I was quiet still. Then when Dan was about to say something else I leaned in and I kissed him.

When we pulled away he looked at me confused.

"Dan, I believe you, and I love you too. I just feel like there's no way someone like you could possibly be in love with someone like me. So when I saw her kissing you... I just felt insecure."

Dan put his arms around me and gave me another long kiss.

"Phil, you are the greatest person I know and I am so lucky to have you."

Dan and I went upstairs to my room and we both layed down on the bed. I rested my head on top of him and held him close. Dan was stroking my hair as I had my eyes closed. Then he gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"I missed you Phil." He said quietly.

"I missed you too Dan." I admitted.

Just then Dan started kissing me again. But this time it was a really passionate kiss. Eventually he ended up on top of me as we kissed. I placed my hand on the back of his neck to hold him closer. I ran my hand through his hair which was curly.

He always straightened it but I liked the curls. Dan had his hand on my cheek stroking it with his thumb. I had kissed Dan many times but this was different. It was so passionate.

After a while of this I pulled away.

"Dan, I uh. I want to. Be with you if you understand what I mean. But I've never done anything like that and I'm not sure I'm ready." I didn't look him in the eyes because I felt embarrassed

Then Dan lifted my chin so I was facing him.

"Phil it's okay. I don't want to pressure you into something you are not ready for. Besides, cuddling with you is still wonderful."

I smiled and we both went back to me having my head rest on Dan. He put his arm around me and we stayed like this for a while.
