Crossroad between the choppy waves and serene fields

A well written ending with much to look forward to

"Like your new place?" Yan Lan brought Kay in to the newly renovated office that will house his works moving forward and as Kay walked in excitedly, he stopped at the hallway painting

"Hmm.....so it's here, you bought it back?" Kay look at Yan Lan smilingly gently.

"Mnnn, can't let it go to any other persons hand nor do I want to let it go..it's something you painted back when you started and you like it a lot. Bought it back for you...." Yan Lan explained as they both look at the painting hung up.

"Another surprise for you ....come" Yan Lan pulled Kay into another room that has a wide balcony facing out into the sky and it had a white grand piano into room with a guitar next to it. "Wow!!! Too much surprises in a day Yan Lan!" Kay walked towards the grand piano on the top it was engraved with their initials.

He open it and sat down and let his fingers danced along with it.... a beautiful tune that he created for Yan Lan as Yan Lan watched Kay playing for him.

"Kay, I'm looking forward to have dinner with our family the coming weekend. I know it's important for you so let's do it right, he spoke reassuringly"

" Hmm, mum is helping a lot with Er Ge on my end on the explanation to dad and the rest, plus I've literally graduated out on my own not depending on the family business so there's less pressure...I managed to convinced them to channel some of the family's effort into our scholarship programme for the community...that's important." Kay explained not wanting to spill out the reason behind it. This is also a way to ensure his family has no reason to hold him or Yan Lan to ransom in future as they are self sufficient.

"And I like wearing what you design for us, thank you for telling the world about it, you know Kay you amazes me sometimes..." Yan Lan said in return

"Isn't that why you fell in love with me..? While I like dreaming, I'll make it come true as well...." Kay added on the self praised smiling proudly as he continue with the gentle melody.

Yan Lan walked over to Kay at that instance and turn his head sideways and whisper "no, fell in love with your heart and soul first, pure and beautiful..." as he move it to give Kay a kiss on the lips. "Glad to announce we are officially engaged" Yan Lan said as he parted with the sweet lips and smile, looking back at Kay.

Yibo smiled reading the last line as he turned to look at Xiao Zhan peacefully asleep next to him. He closed the book as he removed it from Xiao Zhan's hand and all the other papers on the bed. Yibo look at the loving person and thought he must have been exhausted from crafting out the last bit of this ending. "hmm better than the last version... a happy ending indeed like how Yibo wanted it" Yibo smiled in his heart. He arranged the papers and placed the book onto the side table as he yawned. It's been a tiring week. He dimmed the lights and put his arms around Xiao Zhan's waist as he plant a gentle kiss on his forehead "good night and sweet dreams my bunny 🐰 ". And he tugged him in closely as he fell into a deep night sleep together.
