Alarms were not something that they really bothered with in their apartment since Aurélien didn't sleep. Why get woken up by a blaring alarm in the morning when he was more than happy to gently wake Seth up with a gentle kiss and breakfast already sitting on the table?

That morning Aurélien had chosen to cook a full English breakfast because of Seth's test and the fact that it was his last day of classes before the Christmas holiday. His plate was filled with two sausages, two fried eggs, beans and two hash browns. All of which Seth would finish with ease given how much he ate (which was a little less than before they started college because he shifted less so burned less energy, but still more than most). Then, all he had to to was wake his boyfriend up.

Aurélien decided on the tried and tested method of simply waking into their bedroom and peppering Seth's face in kisses while whispering good morning in a gentle voice. As usual, it worked, and Seth was out the room and into the open plan kitchen and living room in seconds for his food, grinning like a madman.

The food wad inhaled by Seth as he say at their kitchen table — which was made of the same white granite as their kitchen counters — as Aurélien prepared him a cup of tea. The caffeinated drink didn't actually do anything for Seth because of his fast metabolism but he liked the taste, especially compared to coffee, which he loathed with a burning passion. Aurélien had no opinion on either drink since he couldn't remember what they tasted like, though he thought he could recall that he drank tea more often than coffee as a human.

"Go take a shower while I wash the dishes," Aurélien instructed his boyfriend, placing a kiss on his forehead and reviving a smile in return. They did actually own a dishwasher, but given that Aurélien didn't sleep and his college homework was as easy to do as breathing (not that he remembered what if felt like to breath), keeping the house clean provided a good time filler. Especially considering any dirt or dust was visible to his eyes, and the smell of dishes just sitting in the dishwasher as they waited for Seth to create enough dirty ones for a full dishwasher load bothered both of them because of their supernatural sense of smell.

"Alright. I love you!" Seth shouted as he disappeared off into their bathroom, a ginormous thing with a big bath and fancy shower. If it wasn't for Seth's nine am class — the one with the test — Aurélien would've joined him in the shower and left the washing up for later. Unfortunately showering together often lead to other activities that were quite distracting to say the least. Instead, Aurélien cleaned while listening to the soft sound of Seth humming to himself as he showered, feeling incredibly content.

As soon as he heard the door of the bathroom open, Aurélien turned so he could catch a glimpse of Seth emerging, towel resting on his hips, body damp and steam billowing around him. The shifter had a small smirk on his face as he made his way to their bedroom because he was all too aware of Aurélien's ogling — of him appreciating Seth's muscles, the way his long hair was pulled into a messy bun, the way the dampness on his skin caught the light, the hickeys that decorated his back and chest. Everything about his boyfriend was stunning to Aurélien, and he could stare at him all day.
