(Y/N) pov

"What do you want to do first?" Hawks asked as we walked. "Sign up for an agency? Get a hero costume? Maybe get your Provisional Hero License first?"

I shook my head. "There are a few people I need to see first."

He furrowed his brows. "Who else do you even know here besides me!?"

I let out an exasperated sigh. "God, you're hopeless."

"Hopeless? What's that supposed to mean!?"

I just smirked. "Anyway, let's head to the USJ."

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Why? You're not planning to attack it, are you!? There are kids there!"

I burst into laughter. "Of course not! Don't you need to be there, anyway?"

His eyes widened. "Oh shit, you're right!" He immediately took off into the air, then glanced back at me with suspicion. "Wait. How do you know my schedule?"

I shrugged. "I have my sources."

He grumbled under his breath the entire way there. We landed just outside the training facility, and I stepped inside with Hawks trailing behind me. As soon as we entered, familiar faces turned toward us.

"Young (Y/N)!" All Might greeted, his usual booming voice full of warmth. Aizawa gave me a small nod, and 13 offered a welcoming smile.

"It's good to see you all again," I said genuinely. Then, I shot a pointed look at Hawks. "Even if someone has a terrible memory."

Hawks frowned. "Okay, are we still on that?"

13 tilted their head. "Wait... you don't remember (Y/N)?"

Aizawa sighed. "That explains why you've been acting clueless."

Hawks crossed his arms. "What am I supposed to be remembering exactly?"

Aizawa stared at him, unimpressed. "When you two were kids, you made (Y/N) promise to never forget you. Because she was the one who had to leave."

I saw the exact moment it clicked. His posture stiffened. His wings twitched slightly. Then his eyes snapped to me, wide with realization. "...That was you?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Took you long enough."

"You knew who I was this whole time!?"

I shrugged. "Thought you'd figure it out on your own."

He looked completely thrown, which, honestly, was kind of satisfying. Before he could spiral, Aizawa cleared his throat and held out a small card.

"Here. You've earned this."

I took it, my fingers brushing over the words: Provisional Hero License. Finally. Hawks still looked like he had a million questions, but I ignored him.

"By the way," Aizawa continued, "Mirio, Nejire, and Tamaki have been asking about you. They're in the Mountain Zone right now, along with Midoriya and Bakugo."

A smile tugged at my lips. "It's been way too long since I saw those three. I should probably say hi before they hunt me down."

Without another word, I took off, leaving Hawks standing there, still looking like he'd just had an existential crisis.

The moment I landed, a familiar voice rang out.

"Miss (Y/N)!" Before I could react, Nejire tackled me into a hug, squeezing the air out of my lungs. Behind her, Mirio waved enthusiastically, while Tamaki gave me a small nod.

"It's been forever!" Nejire said, holding me at arm's length to inspect me. "Look at you! You finally got your wings!"

I laughed. "Yeah, took long enough, huh?"

Tamaki gave me a small smile. "It's good to see you again."

"You three have grown so much," I said, still taking them in. "I swear, you were tiny the last time I saw you!"

Before we could continue, I heard a loud scoff behind me. "So we're just supposed to trust you?" I turned to see a spiky-haired blonde glaring at me—Katsuki Bakugo.

"You're Shigaraki," he stated bluntly. "For all we know, you could be here to screw us over."

I sighed. Here we go. "You were at USJ when Tomura attacked, right?" I asked calmly.

His glare hardened. "Yeah. What's your point?"

"My point is, you would've been dead if I hadn't pulled him off you." He stiffened slightly but said nothing. "And the training camp attack?" I continued. "If I wasn't there, half your class would've been out of commission."

Silence.

I held his gaze. "I didn't agree with what Tomura was doing then, and I don't agree with it now. He's my family, but that doesn't mean I follow him blindly." Bakugo's jaw clenched, but he didn't argue.

I sighed, feeling the weight of the conversation settle on my shoulders. "I get it," I admitted. "I get why my name makes you wary. But I chose this path, and I'm not going to waste my time trying to prove something to people who've already made up their minds."

Bakugo still looked unconvinced, but Mirio clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Come on, man. If Aizawa trusts her, we should too."

Bakugo huffed but didn't push the issue further. I took that as a win. After that, I flew back toward All Might, trying to keep my emotions in check. But the moment I landed, frustration bubbled to the surface.

"Is it so wrong to have the same last name as a villain?" I muttered, voice shaking. "Just because Tomura is a villain doesn't mean anything! He raised me when no one else did. He cared about me. What do people expect!?"

A warm presence appeared behind me, and arms wrapped around my waist. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

"Hey," Hawks said softly.

I took a deep breath. "I'm fine."

"Liar."

I huffed a small laugh. "You don't even know me, remember?"

He exhaled sharply. "Okay, ouch."

I let my head rest against his shoulder, letting myself relax for just a moment.

"You gonna be okay?" he asked, quieter this time.

I nodded. "Yeah."

"Good. Because you still have to spar against half the class."

I groaned. "Oh, come on—"

"You signed up for this."

"Technically, I did not."

He smirked. "Too late now."

I sighed. "Fine. But if I win, you owe me dinner."

"Deal."
