(Y/N)'s pov
"Babe! Did you put the cake in the fridge?"
Keigo's voice called from the living room, but before he could answer, I opened the fridge and spotted the cake sitting neatly on the top shelf.
"Never mind! Found it!" I pulled it out carefully, placing it on the counter.
Today was a special day. Our son, Daisuke, was finally coming home from his hero internship—just in time for his 17th birthday. Keigo, Hoshi, and I had been setting up a surprise party for him while he was away, and thanks to Hoshi's meticulous decorating skills, the house looked perfect.
Streamers lined the walls in black and gold, colors inspired by Daisuke's quirk, while a banner that read 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAISUKE!' hung across the entryway.
Hoshi, wiping his hands on his jeans, glanced at me. "Alright, I think that's everything."
Keigo grinned, placing an arm around my shoulders. "Now we just have to wait for the birthday boy."
Right on cue, the sound of wings beating against the air reached my ears, followed by the click of the front door unlocking.
"Quick! Hide!" I whispered, and we all ducked behind the furniture.
The door swung open, and Daisuke stepped inside.
The moment he flicked on the lights—
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"
Daisuke let out a startled noise, his black wings snapping open instinctively. Midnight-colored feathers, edged with a faint, fiery glow, fanned out behind him. A second later, he exhaled, rolling his eyes as a grin spread across his face.
"You guys are the worst," he laughed.
Keigo clutched his chest dramatically. "And yet, I threw you a party! Where's the gratitude!?"
Daisuke just smirked. "Thanks, Dad."
I stepped forward, ruffling his jet-black hair that, despite his best efforts, always refused to stay neat. "So how was the internship? You look exhausted."
Daisuke stretched, his wings fluttering. "It was incredible. Eri told me I have a lot of potential with my quirk."
I smiled at the mention of Eri. She had come such a long way, now mentoring young heroes and helping them develop their abilities.
"Well, of course you do," I teased. "You've got the demonic side of my quirk, your dad's speed, and a little something extra."
Daisuke smirked, flexing his wings slightly. "Yeah, yeah, because you're so amazing."
Keigo whined. "Why are you two always so mean to meee?"
I patted his head. "Because we love you."
He sighed dramatically before flashing a small smile. "I guess..."
I bopped his head lightly. "You know you do."
Meanwhile, Hoshi had made his way over to Daisuke. There was something undeniably adorable about the height difference between them—Daisuke towering at 6 feet tall while Hoshi, standing at just 5 feet, barely reached his chest.
Daisuke wasted no time in tackling Hoshi into a hug, lifting him off the ground. "There's my angel!"
Hoshi squeaked in surprise before breaking into laughter as Daisuke peppered kisses across his face.
Keigo nudged me with a smirk. "He gets that from me."
I rolled my eyes. "Sure, babe. Whatever helps you sleep at night."
Hoshi, laughing, playfully smacked Daisuke's chest with a tiny spark of golden electricity flickering at his fingertips. "Put me down before I zap you."
Daisuke grinned. "You wouldn't."
A tiny crackling bolt danced between Hoshi's fingers. "Try me."
Hoshi's quirk, Greek God, allowed him to generate and control lightning—but at a price. The more power he used, the more strain it put on his body. If he overexerted himself, the electric pulses in his muscles would backlash, leaving him temporarily numb. It was something Daisuke always watched out for.
"Fine, I'll behave," Daisuke said, wrapping a wing around Hoshi's shoulders. "For now."

Six Years Later
Time had a funny way of passing. Daisuke and Hoshi were now married, a fact that still warmed my heart every time I thought about it. And now, they had adopted a little girl. Her name was Akari, and she was the light of our lives—literally.
"Papa! Look!"
From where she sat perched on Daisuke's shoulders, Akari lifted her hand, and a soft, glowing light pulsed from her fingertips, forming tiny floating stars above his head.
Hoshi grinned. "You're a walking nightlight."
Daisuke smirked. "At least now I won't stub my toe in the dark."
Akari's quirk, Shine, allowed her to manipulate and generate light in any form. She could illuminate pitch-black rooms, create blinding flashes, and even shape radiant symbols in the air. She was a ball of energy and mischief, much like Daisuke had been at her age.
Keigo, who was lounging next to me, stretched his wings lazily. "Man, watching these kids grow up makes me feel old."
I raised an eyebrow. "You're still the same overgrown bird you were when I met you."
He gasped. "How dare you. I am a distinguished, responsible father."
Akari giggled, using her quirk to shape his shadow into a cartoonish bird.
"Sure, babe," I said, patting his chest. "Super responsible."
Keigo sighed. "This family bullies me."
I smiled softly, watching Daisuke, Hoshi, and Akari laugh together. It was moments like this that I cherished the most. As the sun set, painting the sky in hues of orange and violet, I leaned against Keigo's side, feeling the warmth of his wing draped over my shoulders.
Daisuke extended an arm, summoning a dark feather from his wings, watching as it shifted into a sleek, glowing sword. The eerie light pulsed faintly, reflecting his inner emotions. Unlike my angelic abilities, Daisuke had inherited the demon's raw strength. His wings weren't just for flight—they were weapons, forged from both darkness and fire.
He tossed the sword into the air, catching it effortlessly before dismissing it with a flick of his wrist. "Still got it."
Keigo let out an exaggerated groan. "Why is my child so terrifying?"
I chuckled. "Because he takes after me."
Keigo sighed, pressing a kiss to my temple. "Yeah, babybird. He really does."
I smiled, knowing that no matter what the future held—
We would always find our way back to each other.
