(Y/N) pov

"Alright, listen up," I announced, crossing my arms as the students stood in front of me. "I'm going to pair you up for one-on-one sparring. Some matchups might seem unfair, but you're the top ten students in Class 1-A—you can handle it."

They all nodded in understanding.

Tokoyami raised a hand. "How do we determine the winner?"

"The match ends when one fighter is immobilized for ten seconds. That could mean pinning your opponent, exhausting them to the point where they can't move, or any other strategy that keeps them down. Think fast, fight smart."

The students nodded again.

"Alright, here are the matchups:

• Ochaco Uraraka vs. Shoto Todoroki

• Eijiro Kirishima vs. Katsuki Bakugo

• Fumikage Tokoyami vs. Izuku Midoriya

• Momo Yaoyorozu vs. Tenya Iida

• Mezo Shoji vs. Tsuyu Asui

Remember your opponent and prepare accordingly. Let's move." With that, I led them to the training area, where their battles would take place.

Round One: Uraraka vs. Todoroki

The match started with Todoroki sending an ice shard toward Uraraka. She dodged swiftly, managing to touch the ice without him noticing. A moment later, the frozen projectile floated back toward him. It was slow—too slow. He sidestepped with ease, skating forward on a trail of ice. Before Uraraka could react, he froze her feet to the ground, effectively immobilizing her.

Ten seconds passed.

"Todoroki wins," I called out as he melted the ice, freeing her.

Uraraka huffed but smiled. "Next time, I'll be faster."

Todoroki gave a small nod. "Looking forward to it."

Round Three: Tokoyami vs. Midoriya

Tokoyami sent Dark Shadow forward, but Midoriya's reflexes were too quick. He weaved between the attacks, using One For All to propel himself out of reach. Slowly, Tokoyami started to wear down, his breathing labored as he struggled to keep Dark Shadow under control.

Midoriya took advantage of his exhaustion and landed a clean, calculated hit—not enough to injure him, but enough to knock him off balance. Tokoyami fell to his knees, unable to move for ten seconds.

"Midoriya wins."

Round Four: Yaoyorozu vs. Iida

Iida wasted no time activating his engines, speeding toward Yaoyorozu. But she was already prepared. In the split second before he reached her, she created two long cloth restraints and swiftly tied them around his legs, forcing him to stop. With his speed neutralized, she kicked his legs out from under him and pinned him down, keeping him there for ten seconds.

"Yaoyorozu wins."

Iida sighed, pushing himself up. "That was... incredibly well-planned."
