Chapter XX

True love waits.
I believed in that line. I've been waiting whole my life. Now,I found the missing piece of my life. We may experience  a roller coaster ride in the future but we will face it together.
We don't have to chase anyone. Our destiny will find a way to meet our paths. It may not be today but someday it will.
Love is sweeter when you never force to feel it. Material things aren't as important as it is.
At first,you might feel strangers to each other. You laugh together even cry together but actually the red knot is already at your both wrist.
Years may passed,season changed,people come and go in our lives but the person who is destined to stay by your side will remain in you heart and mind.
Crazy,yes,when you are even asking the heaven to be with him but actually there is a perfect time to be with that person. Just wait and the right time would come in your life.

That's how our love story was made. We started to say hi to each other but never talked more than 100 words and even twenty sentences.
We became husband and wife unexpectedly and even love each other unknowingly.

"In sickness and in health."
Beautiful experiences never stop until we get sick. We have to be with the person and show them how we care for them. From that,even your love can cure her pain. That's what I learned. Don't be with her during her good days  only but bad days will be a better days too.

It's been forty years since we get married in the Philippines.
We are both old already. We grew our own family in San Fransisco. She's healthy and strong.
I had white hair, shaking bones and even forget some words. I'm older than her. We did our promise together.

"Mattheo,you forget again your socks."
I laughed.
"That's what we mean we are getting old."
"We?seriously?"
"You're not old,aren't you?".
" of course,I'm not. Your son told me I'm not. I'm young."
"Hahaha, you're kidding me."
"Don't you believe them. "
"Fine. "
"By the way,Ares will be coming over."
"And why again?"
"Your son followed the same footstep of you."
"Did he tell you anything?"
"Yeah,he's in love but the woman didn't know about it. Your genes is scaring me ,honey. Ares is kind and thoughtful. He's hardworking and all but why he's like he's not existing in her world."
I laughed.
"Is that my fault?"
"I don't know. By the way,I'm going to visit Philippines next month. It's December so it would be cold in here. Don't you wanna come with me?"
"Yeah,I'm going with you. "
"Okay. Tell Ares to book us a flight earlier than the scheduled."
"Okay."
"Put it in your notepad or else you forget it again."
"Tsk..fine. I'll do it "

We have two children and the eldest Sofia, got married at 34. We had one beautiful granddaughter who just look like to her mom.
I think I made the right decision of marrying her. I'm happy and didn't have any regrets about life. The heaven provided me so much comfort.
Love can be as painful as a wound. When you are ready to feel the pain,then you can have the most beautiful love you could ever have.
You? Do you wish to have it too? Then get ready to cry and fight,for love is a forever battle between hearts.
