Formality

Putting on a black suit jacket, Xander dressed well for the occasion after being informed by Alyssa a few hours ago about what was to happen, he spruced himself up and noticed the two wolves looking at him with sour looks before he gave each a sad smile.

He continued to look at their reflection in the mirror as he spoke for a moment

"Out of all of us, I am the one not with the claws and teeth that wishes to rip her throat out. And she is least likely to burn me alive as soon as I walk through the door, this is a negotiation, trust me."

Hamish grunted at that, he knew if he had gone, there would have been no talks. Randall was no option either, though he was someone who had an amusing taste and incredible sense in right and wrong, now, he was vying for blood.

It left his Advisor, a word that Hamish rather liked to call Xander. In the time that Cassie had been by his side, she was the one to advise him and though she was great, she had led him through times where he wondered if Tundra was the one in control at times.

She was not the best at telling him no, that his plans would not work and would cause more problems in the future than it would solve. Xander was the opposite, he had calmed him down and brought him to see reason, that having the witches on their side as an ally instead of as an enemy was for the betterment of the wolves.

Though they had three hides now, Hamish and Randall knew they would not be able to take on the entirety of the order with them alone. Maybe a single chapter, like Belgrave but the entire order was asking to be placed on a platter.

And so Xander was called upon, and for that, Hamish had bonded with the man, in a way he found himself an emissary.  Xander was the Emissary to the Knights of Saint Cristopher or better yet, to the Belgrave Pack as they were called by Melissa, funny how he had taken to it.

"I understand but doesn't mean I like it if you sense something wrong, you come back here Xander. We can't lose another of us, do you understand that?"

And the dynamic between had changed as well, in that month, it was no longer Professor to TA, no it was Alpha to Emissary, a partnership and a trust in one another.

Xander smiled, patting Hamish's shoulder before nodding his head and looking to Randall who winked at him. For a moment, all was right with the pack, all was okay and it was amazing to see his boys smile again.

"I do this, for both of you. I do it, for the pack and the cause."

All of them gave smiles to one another, nodding their head in unison before Xander set off for the meeting.

Little did he know, he would be getting a little surprise...

On his way to the Blade and Challice, Xander felt like someone following him, turning his head, he jumped as he came face to face with Lilith, her eyes narrowed at him. He recognized that look, she knew him...she remembered him.

Her memory should have been gone, so the witches had said, it was a powerful charm and yet here she was, those eyes knowing of what he was and he gave her a sad smile, gesturing over to a bench as he looked over the campus before she sat down next to him.

"How long have you remembered everything? I could feel it, the anger, the sadness, the betrayal. Simmering and you've kept it quiet, Lilith Bathory, the great medicum who had such a bright future."

Lilith sighed, she didn't know what to feel but she saw the sincerity in his eyes and then she had suddenly remembered, everything, it came in flashes but when she saw them. Alyssa, the Professor, Veronica, and Vera walking around...it all came back to her, the possession, the moment where she had been exiled and her memory erased.

She was treated like nothing, she wanted them to pay, she wanted vengeance but then she remembered him, the one who wished for peace. Who fought for it no matter if the odds were stacked against him and there seemed like there was no way of fighting what was coming.

The Professor, Xander Grey, the empathetic-seer who had no idea what his power could do and what he could achieve if used correctly. Many people would want to use him for their own gains, and yet all she wanted is an answer that she rightfully deserved, she wanted to make sure that this type of thing couldn't happen again...

"Since the week after that bitch's capture, I watched and I observed, I knew that you could feel the rage I had. At Alyssa, Vera, Veronica, The Order itself. They took my memories away, I remember and I want them to pay, I want them to SUFFER!"

And her eyes soon came alight with what looked like a glint of red beneath them. Xander blinked, sure that must have been a trick of the light but his own energy had reacted, remembering when he had seen that, the outburst of magic from one person only, Melissa.

"Calm down, Lilith. Now is not the time, trust me, I need you to go to the Knight's Den. You will find it, I am sure. You don't think Hamish and Randall want the same thing, trust me, they do and the rage, the way their wolves whisper for revenge for one of their own...it's...maddening but I handle it, so should you. Go there, have Hamish make you a drink and relax."

She glared at him but all he did was give her a calming look of understanding, and she had almost forgotten what he had gone through as well. All of this came back to him, if only she had not been in his class, maybe this would not have happened and maybe they would have all survived but for some reason, she doubted that much.

"For now, allow me to speak with Vera about a temporary solution to our rocky alliance with the order. Whether or not you choose to tell Alyssa the truth of what happened, is your choice. I will not make it for you but for now, stay your hand and I will be back soon, do you agree with me on this Lilith?"

She nodded and took his hand, feeling the wave of ease and comfort flow over her before she smiled at him, heading on her way back to the wolves.

One crisis had been averted, now it was time for negotiation, he just hoped that something could and would be done, otherwise, he was not ready for what would possibly come next from the order and Vera, the wolves were not going to be prepared if it came to action...

He was prepared though, this moment, it was needed to build a mending bridge between the witches and wolves, and it would seem like him and Vera were the ones to patch building it back up.

A/N: You thought it would be the meeting of our two lovebirds!? NO! Sorry, still love you lots :P

Right here, I wanted to show the trust that Hamish and Randall had in Xander, and you can see, there is obviously a change in the way Hamish is from the show. We've barely explored or seen Cassie's death if I am not mistaken.

Hamish wants Melissa's head and the order's politics is preventing that, leaving him and Randall as the vengeful duo of wolves while Xander is the peacemaker, the one trying to make everyone get along but as Melissa once said, things in this world do not always go the way we want them too.

And ooooh YES! Lilith finally having that talk with the Professor, understanding that he would be the one to understand her, considering his connection with emotions and how he could understand her better than anyone.

And considering Season 1 and 2 of the order, in which the wolves get their memories back a lot, which happened repeatedly, how comes it never happened to Lilith BEFORE all of the drama in Season 1? Her memory was wiped and then what? Did someone continually reapply it? Doubtful and so this happened, she gained her memories back and confronted the professor, who brought her to see his way.

Lilith goes to the Knight's Den and is this where she bonds with TImber? A month after the death of Cassie, we shall see...we shall see...

Anyway, Formality Part II soon enough, the meeting of the Temple Magus and Emissary to Knights...

And yes, Emissary is borrowed from Teen Wolf, I was inspired and decided why not, Xander is DEFINITELY going to be the voice of reason for a lot of people in a lot of the coming original chapters as well...

Also, I realized, I have not picked a face claim for our lovely Xander yet, I was thinking of David Tennant or Matt Smith, a choice shall be made soon enough!
