There were moments, meeting your mentor was meant to mean something, where it was meant to feel you with some joy. Only the rogue witch did not feel that she had been betrayed, she had been left to rot here for doing what was right, healing the world and bringing the Order to its knees with her mentor by her side, Professor, Xander.

Only here she was, sitting here and being left to her devices, the echoes of laughter floating all the way down to the bowels of the Order's headquarters. Surprisingly, a trial was in order for her, yet she knew, it was a show. She was a danger to them, she would not rest and they both knew it.

In a way, it was fitting, the way she wished to go about her life, the way she wished to make sure that people knew what the Order had done and would do...it was special, it was terrifying and yet it captivated people. Except for her Professor, from the whispers she got, he was becoming more scared and angry with what it was doing to him.

"It's a cruel world, isn't that right, Veronica?"

Melissa turned her head, the bars on the cell was pretty cliche but the way she had a view of the witch herself, the newest and possibly the one with the most potential. The magic in her veins, the raw potential and power...who was she, the rogue witch wondered before humming to herself.

"I don't believe it is. I believe that the world is made cruel by the people who inhabit it. That's a moment for another time. I am here to tell you that your trial is happening soon, Adepti Antonio Silver is looking over your case...."

Confusion ran around across those usually smug features for the girl before she finally closed her eyes, softly. Reaching out as the red mist of magic seemingly gathered around her, only to stop as she got a nose bleed, her lips parting in a sharp scream.

Veronica shook her head, still, she tried to do so and yet she wanted to reach out and give the girl a helping hand. Yet she had killed so many witches, young and powerful, with futures ahead of themselves. Not even thinking about the people she killed, she had wanted revenge, so what would stop the girl from doing the same to her?

"You tried to tap into the gift he gave you? Why do you think it's red Mel? The magic of a seer, especially an empathetic one, whose bonded you killed and then proceeded to ignore his advice. It shattered your connection, it formed into this....broken and unusable."

A snarl left her lips as she found herself rushing forward towards the cell gates, her eyes glowing red as Veronica quickly gasped, backing away as Melissa's voice took an eerie turn...

"Oh...do not think that he did not know what would happen! Take him off of that pedestal you placed him on Veronica, he is no better than me! He knew it WOULD HAPPEN! He LET IT HAPPEN! Ask anyone, ask Hamish...the wolf alpha if he knew that the seer was going to let his girlfriend, his beloved, die in the name of stopping me!?"

Shaking her head as she would not believe what she was hearing, her voice cracked but no words would come past her lips as she would not let her thoughts on the matter get the better of her, yet she was strong enough to muster enough words up...

"You're lying...Professor Grey wouldn't, he protected everyone from you...he would not let so many people die for the sake of stopping one person and then not even killing you...."

Cruel laughter escaped the rogue witch as her black hair swayed behind her, her eyes still having that broken, unusable colour of red as now her lips curled into that usual smug smirk of hers. Like she was now in control, little did Veronica know now, that was exactly the case.

"Oh really? My Professor Grey has inspired that much confidence in you? Yet the way your voice is wavering, you don't have that much trust because you've seen the way he's changed. You see how this world affects people like our professor, he's innocent in all of this but I placed him on this path...."
