Verena didn't leave the room until she absolutely had to. She digged through her bag to find any dress she could wear to the wedding. Ginny rejected all three dresses Vera had picked out, looking for more , through the bag. 'Those are too casual for the occasion' she had said.

"Ginny! What about this one?" Hermione asked.

"It's perfect!" Ginny told her. They both high-fived before handing the dress to Verena.
She chuckled as she saw the dress. A blue flowy gown with strapped sleeves. This was the dress she had worn to the Yule ball.

"Are you sure about this dress?" She asked them.

"It will blow Fred away" Hermione winked at her and Vera rolled her eyes.

Vera stood there, looking at herself in the mirror. You look beautiful. Her mum had said those words to her before the Yule ball. Ginny and Hermione had already gone downstairs and she was the only one left. Vera picked up her box from under the bed and took out the gold necklace from it, trying to put it on and struggling.

"Want some help?" George asked as Vera nodded. The door was already open and so he just walked in. He swiftly clasped the necklace on and Vera thanked him.

"You look pretty" He smiled down at her.

"You don't look half bad yourself Georgie" She has a wide grin on her face.

The two were walking down the stairs together, Vera taking George as a support to not trip over herself. "Are you ignoring Fred?" George asked her.

"I've just been busy today" She muttered.

"I know you fancy him.."

"Is it that obvious?" She asked.

"No, Ginny told me. He fancies you too"

"I don't care...I can't put anyone in danger. And I'm not discussing this further George" she was a little blunt.

"As you say. Let's get there faster, I want to meet all the Veela girls!" He smiled once again.

"I'm hurt George! I thought you loved me!" She mocked.

"No one can replace you in my heart" The two sniggered as they walked into the tent-like structure. Fred was already flirting with the Veela girls which hurt Vera a bit but she tried to look past it.

After the very emotional wedding Ceremony and her constant attempts to hide from Fred, Vera sat down on one of the tables.

"Vera!?" She looked up to see Louis, he was the Beauxbaton boy she had danced with during the Yule ball. They had kept in touch with each other through letters but as the days went by, the letters became less frequent and then the more dangerous it got, the less she risked writing to anyone.

"Louis!" She stood up and hugged the boy. "It's so good to see you!"

"And you! I didn't know you knew Fleur!" He said in his thick French accent.

"I only met her a while ago" she replied.

"Care to dance?" He asked and she nodded.

"You look pretty" he told her. She felt a little embarrassed because she was wearing the same dress from the Yule ball but then decided that it didn't matter.

"Thank you" she said.

They flowed with the music as they talked and caught up with each other. Vera and Louis' relationship was only platonic. They were good friends and had only ever talked through letters. It was a pleasant surprise to see him in person.
