Kiss
"Wala akong nakita." Daniella laughed.
Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata. I mouthed the words 'shut up' and she just laughed more at me.
"For the yakap ang mga fersonavility." Tatawa-tawa siyang umalis.
"Something wrong?" Matthew turned to me.
"Ha? Nothing! It's one pm na kaya. Tara." Nauna na akong maglakad paalis. Why did I even do that?!
Umupo ako sa tabi ni Daniella pagkarating namin sa office. There was also an empty seat beside me so Matthew was the one who occupied the seat. Hindi rin nagtagal bago dumating ang iba, probably from the higher years, and the Head Mistress. We started the meeting right away.
"Good day, officers." She smiled at us. "Today marks the start of a new one. I am really grateful to get the chance to meet all of you today. I know the students from the previous administration and hopefully get to know the other ones as well, especially our new students. Take a look on your folders, you can see your data there."
I was about to grab the folder when Matthew grabbed mine, teasing me. Inirapan ko siya at sinubukan bawiin iyon saka inihampas sa kaniya ng mahina. We're literally in front of the head mistress!
I heard his chuckle before grabbing his folder. I saw how Mrs. Montereale turned to us and squinted her eyes. Nang magtama ang paningin namin ay ngumiti siya. Alangan akong ngumiti pabalik at iniiwas ang tingin papunta sa folder ko. I hid my face behind the opened folder. Nakakahiya!
