Chapter 12
Foundation Week
"You are not being serious right now, right?" I cupped his cheeks to look straight in his eyes.
Tumawa siya at sinumping ang mga takas kong buhok sa likod ng tainga. "I'm dead serious. If you say yes right now, I'll be driving back to the city with you."
Napatakip ako ng bibig sa gulat. He's dead serious!
"So...?" he said, anticipating my answer.
I chuckled and shook my head. Oh my god! Not yet! I can't!
"I'd love to, but I can't right now. I'm sure there are other chances and instances that I could meet your family. Hindi ko kaya ngayon."
"Mmm... and?" he pulled me closer.
I rested my palms on his chest. "Hindi ba ano... sobrang aga? Papakilala mo agad ako, we're not even in a relationship yet."
"I'm sure of you. Of us." He held my hand resting on his chest.
I pouted and rested my head on his chest. Damn, I am the luckiest woman alive to be loved and cared by this man in front of me. He caressed my hair and planted a kiss on the top of my head.
"How was your sister?" tanong ko nang maalala.
Ipinulupot niya ang braso sa baywang ko. He's so clingy! "She's getting better. She got discharged the other day."
"That's good news." Tugon ko na lang.
"Yeah..." he was playing with my hair.
"What about the case? May progress na ba?" bumangon ako para tumingin sa kaniya.
"Kind of. I have a hint who did it," he sighed. "But it doesn't matter anymore."
Muli na lang akong humiga sa dibdib niya. I missed him so much.
The next day, it was the opening of the Foundation Week. I woke up really early to do my duties. Nakasuot pa ako ng shirt uniform na pinapersonalize pa ng SC mismo. Pinartneran ko iyon ng high waist jeans at high heels para cute tingnan. I also tied my hair in a high ponytail.
The shirt uniform was hunter green in color. There was an imprint of the school logo on the left side of my shirt in front. At the back, the council position was written. Mine was 'Student Council Vice President'.
Sinamahan ko si Matthew na magcheck ng mga booths and stalls na gagamitin, pati ang stage, ang buong gymnasium at ang auditorium na gagamitin. We also re-checked the program for the opening later and the closing program on Friday. So far, there were no changes and no damages so it's good news.
