"Told you, it was just a misunderstanding." Sabi ko kay Daniella.
"Still." She rolled her eyes. Tinawanan ko siya at inubos na ang milkshake ko para makabalik na sa kwarto. I still have to polish my short film so I could already pass it for my finals. Para wala na akong isipin at makakapag Christmas break na!
Pero lalo lang yata akong nagkaroon ng isipin. Something went wrong while I was adding effects to my film when it accidentally refreshed, and now it went back to zero!
"No, no... bakit nawala..." I wiped the tears falling down my cheeks.
I tried to undo multiple times but it was no use. I can't find any other ways to restore it! Halos hampasin ko na ang MacBook ko sa frustration.
Wala na akong nagawa. I just accepted my fate. Ilang araw akong walang tulog dahil doon, ngayon kailangan kong ulitin lahat!
Tulala ako sa screen habang bumubuhos ang luha ko.
"Love, what's wrong?" Matthew knelt beside me. He held my chin so I could look at him. Marahan niyang pinunasan ang luha sa pisngi ko.
Yumakap ako sa kaniya. "I can't retrieve the file." mahinang sabi ko.
He gently rubbed my back. "Rest. I'll see if I can do something about it." Hinalikan niya ang noo ko at pinahiga na lang ako sa kama.
I let myself rest and just sleep. I woke up to a good news from him. He successfully retrieved the file. Gumawa rin siya ng maraming backup noon at ipinasa na sa professor ko.
"Thank you, love! How did you retrieve it?" nilapitan ko ang laptop ko.
I sat on my chair. Hindi ko hinawakan ang laptop dahil baka may mapindot na naman ako. I quietly wandered my eyes around the app.
Nilingon ko siya dahil naroon pa rin siya sa tabi ng kama ko. He looked stunned.
"Why? Something wrong?" tanong ko.
"Nothing." He neared me. "I'll teach you how some other time. You pressed a key that erased your file."
"Thank you." I smiled.
"Ah, finally! Nararamdaman ko na ang Christmas break! Have you packed your bags?" Daniella asked me while we're eating lunch.
"I've started but I'm not yet done. Kaunti lang din dadalhin ko, babalik din naman tayo next year."
"Yeah. Another semester to suffer." She chuckled. "By the way..." she looked around before leaning closer. "Kailan mo balak sagutin si Matthew? Ang tagal na niyang nanliligaw, 'te. Grabe, I love the patience!"
"Ewan. My birthday, probably? Hindi rin naman kami nagmamadali..." I sipped on my watermelon juice.
About this courtship thing, I don't know. He's not rushing me. He respects my decisions. We're just going with the flow.
"But you know... iba rin kapag may label talaga." She pointed out.
"Yeah." Tumango ako.
"You love him?"
"Well... obviously?"
She smirked and continued eating her pizza.
Matapos ang lunch na iyon, wala na akong klase kaya bumalik na ako sa kwarto ko. Most of the classes are for the completion of requirements. My requirements are already complete. Pumapasok na lang talaga ako for the attendance, lalo na sa mga professor na strict sa attendance.
