===============================
It was said that Lucian Bane was both blessed and cursed the moment he was born. The Goddess, seemed to favor Lucian, in the way that she granted him power unlike any other wolf. She came to him, spoke to him in visions, and bestowed upon him many gifts and blessings which could only be explained through matter of her favoritism. Yet, with great power, came great responsibility.
Lucian Bane was declared a King. He was an Alpha above any other. This was a unspoken truth. As he was King of the Rogues, who would obey his every command and had no other choice but to bow. It was said his authority was unquestionable, and his power that of three fully grown Alpha males.
In order to be a respected king to those who were animalistic and without humanity, it was said the ruler had to be a warrior, and more fierce than that of any before him. And one so brutish ... Could only come to be with great torment and suffering.
But no mate could be given to one so wild, a warrior with bloodlust. To a man with less of a heart than even a rogue. This was his curse. His torment allowed him to be stripped away his soul and left him unable to bear a mate.
Is He a rogue? Is He an Alpha? Is he tame, or animalistic? The answer is no.
He is King.

*Highest rating is 5
Storyline - (4.5/5) 💣💣💣💣 (Really cool, though somehow wasn't as intense or moving (but that might just be the side effect of the last book I read - check out the previous review - everything pales in comparison)
Still, it was a unique plotline and definitely keeps you hooked to every word.)
Smut - (1/5) 🍦 (Nope, all good and PG-13, the book is filled with cute cuddly scenes though 😍😍)
Writing and Grammar - (3.5/5)📝📝📝 (The overall writing style is great 👍🏼. And every scene is amazingly described, but there are quite a few spelling issues throughout the book, almost one or two in every chapter (the story is obviously unedited).)
Character Descriptions and Development - (5/5) 🦸♀️🦸♀️🦸♀️🦸♀️🦸♀️ (Everyone loves a strong female lead... but this strong female lead is much better, because she's strong from the mind, not her size.)
Alpha obnoxiousness level - (1000000000%) annoying, overprotective and obnoxious 😑
(Have I ever mentioned that I. DO. NOT. LIKE over possessive or overprotective mates. She can make her own decisions! And NEVER physically restrain her or unreasonably order her around! Gosh, this gets me so worked up.) but that's just my opinion...
The only reason I tolerated it was because the protagonist was able to tolerate it (she didn't get frustrated, knew how to deal with it, so I didn't get too frustrated as well.)
P.S The book is awesome though.
Overall score: 85%
