Dedicated to the amazing author @world_joy_
Lexie is not a warrior. In fact, Lexie is a painter. Her hands are always covered in paint. Never coming off. Always there.
For Lexie, painting is an escape. An escape from her pain. She paints to avoid the darkness that is in her soul. She paints to avoid looking at the bleeding wound inside her chest.
She paints. To forget.
But then Lexie meets someone.
Her mate.
He also hides a dark anger inside him. An anger at everything and the world around him. When two souls collide, how do you fix each other?
Atlas isn't looking for a mate. He's seen the effect of women within his life, and how cruel they can be. But then he meets someone. Someone he doesn't want to meet.
A painter soul. And a warrior's heart. How will the two collide?
====================================
This story has been on the werewolf hotlist for like... a millenia. And with 10 million+ reads, if you still haven't read this one... what the hell have you even been reading?
Go, read the story, *shoves you into the book*!
I was going over the storyline to kinda catch up (bcoz i'd forgotten the details)... never have I been haphazardly lured into rereading a whole book! And I rarely ever reread books.
But this one, its something special.
It's not just a story, it's a thought, it's an expression... of sorrow, of pain, or rage, of love, of happiness, in truly, the smallest of things.
And I believe that it would be unfair to hold, or even try to measure the worth of such a beautiful tale in a few mere ratings.
I believe that no words and no amount of emojis can express the emotional impact of this piece of art (yep, pun intended) or the beautiful message that the author conveys through his/her words.
The story sucks you in and keeps you chained... because some moments, they hit oh so close to home.
Every line can be quoted, every word holds a special meaning. That's how magnificently it has been written.
I've never read a book - published or otherwise - that left me this content, at peace, and lost in thought.
I dare say, the book 'Sun Child' conveys a story of humanity at its truest.
If you really want a rating for this masterpiece, then
100%
there, you have it.
Also, do check out other stories by the author @world_joy_, all the stories are just as good, though this one, I must say, is the best in my opinion.
