Chapter 6

"Ready, set, go!"

I ran down the beach, making my way towards the ice cream truck where the rest of the gang was. Harry, running beside me as we raced to get there first. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, feeling the warm sand in between my toes. The breeze was blowing my hair everywhere but it made me feel alive. The unusal England summer weather was here and it was the warmest it had been all year. I got to the truck first, throwing my arms in the air in victory and cheering loudly whilst Harry gave up and sat on the edge, panting.

I looked at him in amusement and smirked. "Wow, Styles. You really need to go to the gym." He opened his mouth to speak but closed it again, putting his index finger up, still out of breath. "Damn, no comback, you really are speechless. Oh, and by the way you owe me an ice cream."
He finally looked up and frowned. "I don't owe you anything, you cheated!"
I scoffed, laughing, "I did not. How?"
"You, y-you."
"Speechless again." I smirked.

I heard a loud laugh coming from behind me and saw Perrie shaking her head, giggling. "Face it Harry, you lost. We were all watching." She pointed to Louis, Liam and Ella.
He groaned, "Fine." He got up from where he was sat and went over to the ice cream truck. "Which one do you want?"
"Umm.. Chocolate please." I said sweetly.
"Coming right up, your highness" He bowed while I just gave him a confused look. "You guys?" He asked the rest of us. They all said what they wanted and after we had been given our ice creams, we went to the table benches on the other side of the beach.

I sat down on the end next to Ella and Perrie, whilst the guys went and sat on a bench of their own.
"So.." Perrie began. "Now that the guys aren't here, let's have some girl talk."
"Don't say 'girl talk' it sounds so cringey coming from you." Ella said laughing which made me and Perrie giggle.
"Ok, I won't say that, but seriously what's new in your lives." She turned to me. "Apart from he who must not be named"

"Guys seriously, he's not voldemort."
"Yeah he's a bastar-" I clasped my hand over Ella's mouth.
"Can we please talk about something else." I said sighing quietly.

"Well..Ikindahaveacrushonaguy." Ella said, getting embarrased.
"Woah there, slow down."
She took a deep breath and smiled. "I said, I kinda have a crush on a guy."

"Oh my gosh, your first crush! Tell me all about him." I squealed loudly making the guys turn their heads towards our table.
"What's going on here?" Liam said chuckling. They all came over and he pinched Ella's cheeks. "Someone's got a crush, huh?"
"Geez, woman, could you have beeen any louder?" Ella said, getting embarrased again.
"Well go on, tell us about him." Louis said, followed by us all nodding.

"His name is Chris, he's a new guy in school and I was told to show him around. He has blonde hair and green eyes and he's so handsome. He's so nice and funny and I really like him."

"Aww that's so sweet. Look she's blushing." Perrie said.
"My baby sister's growing up." I said fake crying.
Louis gave her a hug and smiled at her. "If he ever hurts you, just tell me and I'll punch the guy so hard he wont ever set foot nea-"
"Louis! Shut up" Ella laughed. "That's not nessecary. I haven't even told him I like him yet."

"What? Why not?" Perrie said.
"Cause I met him a week ago and I only just realised I like him."
"Well you better do it soon, I wanna meet him. " I said. "Maybe you could bring him over to the house and 'study'."

Ella's eyes widened and she started blushing again. "I can't believe you just said that." She shook her head. "L-let-let's go o-over to the r-rides." she started stammering.
We all started laughing and headed over to the rides.

As we were walking along the boardwalk, I heard something that I didn't expect to hear.
"Have you heard about Niall's new girlfriend?" I spun around to see two teenage girls who obviously didn't notice I was right in front of them.
"No way!" The other one said. "What happened to Olivia?"
"I don't know, but the article's meant to be on the news channel on TV tonight at eight."
"I bet they broke up because of that brat. Niall's too innocent."
