Olivia's POV
"It's Niall." I whispered.
Louis looked at the phone bewildered. He pushed it back to me and stared at me straight in the eye. It was a little unsettling to be honest. "Answer it." he said.
"No way, are you crazy!" I shook my head like a madman and gave him the phone back.
He looked at me sternly. "Answer it." He pushed the phone back towards me.
We did a whole back and forth thing when I gave up. "Fine."
I answered the phone and put it onto loudspeaker. "Hello?" I said hesitantly.
"What the hell, Olivia!" I immediatly heard on the other end.
"Yes." I said, with no expression in my tone."
"How could you?"
"How could I?.." I wanted to wind him up. I looked at Louis who was also holding back a smirk.
"You know very well what. So. Are you gonna explain?"
"Not really, no." I said.
"Olivia. You know what I'm on about. I thought you loved me?"
"I thought I did too, and you know what. Breaking up with you was the best thing to happen to me because it made me realise that maybe Louis is the one for me."
"So the whole time we were together was fake?"
"Ask yourself that very question, Niall. I wasn't the one cheating on you. I had feelings for Louis after you broke up with me."
"You know what, you're right. Cheating on you was the best decision I ever made. It got me freedom from you and I can't believe that I ever felt guilty about it at one point. All you are is a slut who breaks up with someone and in less than a week goes out with another person. And as if that wasn't bad enough the person you're with is my best friend. I hope you have a nice life. Bye."
Just as he was about to cut the phone off, I spoke up.
"Hold up a second. If you've finally finished you're kid tantrum then listen to me. You cheated on me. You told the world it was the other way around. You are the reason I'm getting so much hatred from people who don't even know me. You broke my heart. You were the one who was never invested in a relationship with me. All the way from the start. How dare you say that to me and how dare you ask me for an explanation. You were the one who tried to ruin my life but I'm not gonna let you do that. Do you wanna know why? Because, I'm not gonna pay attention to you anymore. You think I still love you, well guess what. Newsflash, not everything is about you."
He tried to speak but kept getting cut off every time I'd speak again. I was trying really hard not to laugh but at the same time I was really angry.
"I'm gonna have the most amazing life, you have an amazing life with Mrs Plastic and remember what you're missing out on. Don't call me again. Bye Nialler." I said sweetly. I cut the phone off and breathed out slowly.
"I did it. I stood up to that bastard." I muttered to myself.
"Holy Crap, Olivia."
I smiled and looked up at Louis from beside me. He looked at me as though I had two heads and my lips curved into a smile. "I forgot you were even here." I said.
"I- jus- wha- I- What the actual heck." He stuttered making me burst out laughing.
His face was a mix of confused and shocked at the same time which made me laugh harder. "Close your mouth. You're gonna catch flies." I shut his jaw. I ran upstairs to my room with him following close behind. I walked inside my room and closed the door, leaving it open a teeny bit so I could still see him outside in the hallway.
"Goodnight." I said still giggling lightly.
"Night?" He said still confused walking over to the guys' room.
I closed the door completely and slowly walked over to my bed so I didn't wake up Ella. I layed down on my bed and sighed happily. I can't believe we're going home tomorrow. I feel like I've just learned how to breathe again.
I sighed again and turned onto my side, smiling. I shut my eyes and tried to get some sleep. But I knew it wasn't going to come easy, my heart was full.
***
I woke up to the sun shining down on me and the breeze hittting my face. I slowly got out of bed and walked downstairs. It was quite early in the morning so I didn't think anyone else would be up but to my surprise I saw a curly mop of hair sat on the kitchen island. He was staring at his mug intensely and looked as though he was deep in thought. I assumed it was something good since the corners of his mouth were up slightly and I could see a hint of his iconic dimples. He looked...lovestruck.
I smiled a little and sat next to him. He didn't even acknowledge me. "What's her name?" I said softly.
He looked up dumbfounded. "Huh? Oh Olivia. Didn't see you there."
"Duh dummy. Now spill."
He chuckled softly. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh come on. How long have I known you. Five, six years? You're one of my best friends and I know every facial expression of yours. Especially this one."
He smiled slightly. "Olivia."
"What?"
"No that's her name. Olivia. It's you."
"What?" I repeated, adding an uncomfortable laugh afterwards.
Suddnely he burst out laughing. "You should have seen your face. Oh my gosh."
I let out a sigh, relieved. I smacked his shoulder getting out a loud 'ow' in return. "You idiot." I laughed.
"Her name's Liz. Lizzie."
"Aww." I squealed. "What's she like?"
"She works at the bookstore near your home, in fact, you might know her."
"Umm, the only Lizzie I know is Lizzie Brown."
He smiled, "Small World."
"Yeah." I chuckled softly. "Well I'm really happy for you. From the limited interactions I've had with her, she seems like a great girl."
"She is. We've been on a few dates, I was just thinking of a way on asking her to be my girlfriend."
"I can help." I said without thinking. "I mean, if you want. I don't wanna overstep or anything."
"No, no that would be great."
And so, we got to work. Mostly it was just Harry telling me what Lizzie was like and me finding ways on how to incorporate that into an inventive way to ask her. A few hours later, and a whole bunch of giggles later, we had an idea.
I checked the time and saw that it was almost noon. Better go and wake everyone up.
"You wake up the guys and I'll wake up Ella and Perrie?" I said to Harry.
"Yep, let's go."
We walked up to the stairs to see Liam and Perrie bickering again.
"Well at least two of them are awake." Harry whispered in my ear and walked to the guys' room.
I smiled fondly and walked over to the arguing pair and stood in between them.
"What are you guys fighting about this time?"
"Liam thought it would be funny to take my shampoo and put purple hair dye in it."
Liam laughed from beside me. "Oldest trick in the book."
"Yeah and stupid, It's a clear bottle. It was never gonna work."
"I don't know, you can be pretty dense sometimes." He retorted. She lunged forward and pulled his hair and I just smiled at the two again, shaking my head and walking away.
I walked inside my own room and went over to Ella, "Wake up, El."
"Yeah, I know, I'm getting up soon."
"Okay baby girl." I leaned down and kissed her forehead. She looked up at me with groggy eyes and smiled.
I smiled back and walked out of the room and downstairs, where everyone was crowded around the table eating breakfast.
"Guys, come on. One more hour and we're leaving. It's gonna take four hours to get home and I have errands to run."
"Why can't you just do your errands tomorrow?" Louis said sleepily.
"Because I have work tomorrow morning. Another reason to get home early, everyone here has to go to the studio tomorrow morning, right?"
I got a couple of groans from everyone.
A few hours later, all packed and ready to go, we walked to the car and loaded it up. We sat inside and the engine roared to life. Soon enough we were home and me and Ella walked inside.
"Home, sweet, home."
