It's been a month now since our mini-holiday. Everything has been going good so far. However Ella had been really distant.

It was the last day of term today and I woke up the feeling a lot more refreshed. It had been like that for a while now. Waking up didn't feel like pain anymore. It felt almost as if everything seems okay in the world and from now on it would. I knew my heart wasn't healed yet. Boy, was it even near yet? I had no idea. But I knew that it was close to the point of it's beginning.

I rolled over in bed and grabbed my phone from the nightstand, glancing at my alarm clock from the corner of my eye. Rubbing my eyes, I unlocked my phone and opened Instagram. Few new followers, nothing new, random DM's, seen it before. Same old, same old. Oh, and the hate from the news interview never stopped. I couldn't care less. I scrolled through a bunch of posts and checked a few of my messages before throwing the covers off from around me, smiling.

Now, you may think this is weird but, I love my job. Every day, I walk into that school and knowing that I'm helping children everyday with their lives, and their futures. It warms my heart. Oh, and if it wasn't obvious already, I'm a highschool teacher. Well, counseller.

Grabbing some black, sleek trousers and a white blouse, I headed off towards the shower. Not before I screamed at Ella to wake up though.

After having a shower and getting changed, I headed downstairs for some breakfast, seeing Ella all dressed up in her school uniform with some cereal.

"Ready to go?" I asked her, giving her a little kiss on the forehead.

"Yep." She said, smacking her lips. "Aren't you gonna eat some breakfast though."

"Umm." I craned my head to look at the clock. 7:50. Only ten minutes. "No, I'll just get something from the staff room." I smiled sweetly.

"Okie dokie. Let's go then." She grabbed her bag from the floor and we both headed towards the car.

We walked into school and went our separate ways. I went into my office and cleaned up a bit. The best perk about being a guidance counseller is having an office all to yourself.

Just as I had tided up the mess from when I was last in, the bell rang signaling first period. 'Time to get to work' I thought. I sat down at my desk and turned on my computer, logging some files and other bits and bobs.

I was about to get some breakfast, when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in." I said gently. In walked Jamie, one of the students who came to me quite frequently. "Hello, Jamie." I said with a whole-hearted smile.

"Hi, Miss." He said, his smile mirroring mine.

"Everything okay?" I asked, motioning for him to sit down.

He sat down, getting comfortable. "Everything's okay, better than usual even. I just had a question."

"Of course, what is it?"

"Well I was wonde-"

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Startled, I shot up from my desk and we both ran towards the door. I opened the door to find a crowd of children and two children in the middle circling each other. I couldn't make out who it was but as I walked closer, I saw a raging Ella and Taylor, another girl in her year.

I ran towards them and tried to stop them fighting when Ella threw a punch aiming for the Taylor but hitting me instead. She immediatley stopped and faced me covering her mouth in shock. "Oh my Gosh, Olivia, I'm so sorry!"
