Part 5

"I'm hanging out with people I just met in the middle of the woods while it's dark out and I'm a minor. I think drinking would be the least scandalous thing I would do today." Hyunjin pulled me away from Jungkook. He dunked me underwater and when he brought me back up, he said it was because of my attitude. We all laughed. Eventually, I had coaxed them into letting me have a drink or two. After Jungkook poured the drinks, we all came to the shore to sit on the sand.

"So, you have a nickname for me, I want a nickname for you guys." They both almost spit out their drinks and shook their heads vigorously.

"What? Why not? I think it'd be cute! I was thinking, if I wanted to be cute, "Kookie" and "Jinnie" and, if I was just being friendly, "Kook" and "Jin". If I was being serious, though, I would just use your full names." I felt confident in the nicknames so I was somewhat surprised when they said they didn't like them.

"Don't even try to give us nicknames, it won't stick. We don't like them so we'll make sure you don't call us by them and eventually you'll just give up and call us by our real names." Hyunjin explained. I looked at Jungkook and then him again.

"Seriously? You guys are no fun." I tried pouting but quickly got embarrassed so I stopped and let it go. I knew I would just end up calling them by their nicknames anway so there was no point in being upset.

"Alright, well, I'm going in the water. If something snatches me, you better come save me." I said before I sprang into a full sprint until I couldn't because the water was too deep. They followed me and I asked for Hyunjin to grab me another drink.

"Thank you!" I said in between gulps of the drink. I finished mine way faster than I should have so I grabbed Jungkook's, Hyunjin's was also gone.

"Hey! That's mine and you're getting tipsy. No." Jungkook said sternly. He tried to swipe for the drink and get it out of my hands but I chugged it while hiding behind Hyunjin who was pretty much oblivious to the fact that I had been behind him. I smirked at him, knowing I was victorious.

"Oops." I said while swimming away. I could tell he was angry but he didn't follow me which was good. I swam to the other side of the shore and got up. I started walking over to grab my clothes when I saw Hyunjin and Jungkook standing next to the water, each with one piece of my clothing in their hand, holding it over the water. I looked at them with fear in my eyes.

"You wouldn't dare." I said. They looked at each other and then back at me.

"Well will. But, if you appologize for taking my drink, we might just give them back to you." Jungkook challenged. I knew I would need to swallow my pride and just appologize but I really didn't want to. I was, and still am, a very competitive person so saying, "sorry" wasn't ever an option. But, I guess desperate times called for desperate measures.

"I don't hear it yet." Hyunjin taunted. I started walking over to them when I 'suddenly' collapsed. They called out my name a few times but they quickly learned that I was not just pranking them. They rushed over to me and tried to get my response.

"Promise! Promise, are you okay? Please say something! Come on, wake up! Why won't you wake up?" They exchanged sentences like this. I could hear in their voices that they were getting a little choked up, which I thought was sweet and I greatly appreciated it. Once I was sure my acting was safe and solid, I got up and bolted for my clothes. The two of them were so stunned, just like I had planned them to be, that they didn't have quick enough reflexes to stop me. While they processed what had happened, I quickly grabbed my clothes and put them on.

"That was so not okay, Promise." Hyunjin said. They both seemed upset with me and not in the normal way, in some deep rage and you could tell if it came from their worrying.

"Promise, come here right now." Jungkook said while he and Hyunjin made their way to the dirt wall. I started backing away because I was afraid of what they would do. So far, they had been nice to me but I just met them and who knows what they do when they're angry, let alone the fact that they have alcohol in their systems.

"Don't make us come and bring you over here ourlseves." Hyunjin threatened me with some look in his eyes. I slowly walk over to them. I stopped when I was just crossing the line of 'a-safe-distance-away-from-them'. I didn't know what to do. It was getting increasingy difficult to read the situation.

"Do you understand that what you did was very wrong? That you should never do something like that, especially with us?" Jungkook said, as he was a couple of steps in front of Hyunjin. I was startled by his volume and tone, I contemplated stepping forwards or backwards. I stood in my spot, growing more and more terrified of what was to come.

"Yes. But what makes you guys any different from the rest? Should I be scared? Should I have run a long time ago?" I tried to keep somewhat of a snarky tone so they couldn't tell how I was truly almost petrified. I was so stupid! Following strangers into the woods when it was soon getting dark! Nobody would even realize I was missing until it's too late at this point! I didn't have much to live for, nobody would really mourn if I were to disappear. But it couldn't happen like this! I need it to be my choice, I don't want to be scared shitless when it happens!
