I hadn't been home in two days and Zy'Air has been blowing my phone up at every waking moment. I know Donnie noticed it; there was no way he didn't. He was starting to become distant like I knew he would. I can't even take our engagement serious anymore and I know he doesn't either. More reason for me not to give a shit though. All this time I wasted falling for him, or at least trying to, and he's related to blob one and two. Had he introduced me to them early like a normal person would I wouldn't have even stuck around as long as I did.
I sighed and parked my car in the garage of my house. I grabbed my keys and purse and got out of the car, making my way towards the door. Before I could put my hand on the knob, the door flew open and there stood a distressed face Zy'Air.
"Where have you been? I've been calling you since yesterday!"
I looked at him, perplexed. "I didn’t know I had to answer to you."
"Well ... you don't but-"
"Exactly so, excuse me," I said pushing him out of my way. I walked through the doorway and stepped out of my heels. I picked up the mail that was on the island in the kitchen and started flipping through it, ignoring Zy'Air who was hot on my trail.
"Zoyanna!"
"What?" I asked, still ignoring him.
I felt his hands on my forearm and he aggressively turned me around to face him.
"Have you lost your rabbit ass mind putting your hands on me?" I yelled.
"No, but clearly you've lost yours. I used to think that sassy mouth of yours was cute but now it's starting to piss me off."
I tried pulling my arm away. "Let me go!"
"Not until you tell me why you didn't answer my calls. Did you forget Andrew went missing? When I didn't hear from you ... I thought the worst."
He finally let my arm go and I tried to compose myself to not haul off and punch him in the face for man handling me.
"Oh, so now all of a sudden you give a fuck about me and my whereabouts?"
"What? That never changed."
"Could've fooled the fuck out of me."
"Man I'm not about to do this with you, okay? Did you find Drew or not?"
"Yeah ... I found him," I answered, my mood suddenly lowering.
"Well?"
"I found him at Latisha's old place."
He scrunched up his face. "She's been dead for years. How is that place even still available for him to be in?"
"Apparently he's been taking the money I put into his account and paying the rent for it."
"You ... you set him up an account?"
"Why is that so surprising to you?"
"You took care of a kid for years that wasn't yours. You didn't have to do that."
"Well, I killed his mother, itwas literally the least I could do."
"So, if you found him why isn't he with you now?"
"Because I told him about Latisha."
"Told him what about her?"
I exhaled. "I told him the truth. I told him I mistakenly killed his mother and you took the heat for me. He isn't with me because he didn't really give a damn about it being a mistake. I lied to him so I might as well be the devil himself. He hates me."
