Jughead was at Pop's with his computer typing away an idea he got for a story. When he was younger, in high school, he always dreamt of being a successful writer but he thought that maybe journalism was a better option. His phone received a notification from Archie telling him that they are on his way. Originally, this was Jughead's idea, which was unbelievable to him because he hates giving and receiving surprises. He kept typing, hiding his face behind it. A few minutes later, the bell of the diner was heard but jughead didn't look up as he wanted Veronica to notice him. A blonde, a ginger and a raven entered the diner and the raven girl looked around the place she missed for the last six months. Suddenly she noticed a crown beanie behind a computer, something she hadn't seen in years. The clicking of her heels increased towards the booth as she removed the computer from blocking her view. She didn't care if it was a mistake or not because she was sure there was no one else in this world with a grey crown beanie.

" Jughead Jones!!!", Veronica shrieked with a high pitched voice.

Jughead got up and wrapped her in a hug. Betty and Archie watched from afar, happy that the two childhood friends had reunited. Thanks to them.  Jughead released Veronica from the hug and signalled for the other two to join them. They slid into the booth and Veronica started with her usual chattery self.

" Okay, this is one of the best surprises guys. I haven't seen you in so long. How were you able to survive high school without moi? Unless you dropped out....you didn't right?"

Jughead responded with a laugh," Nice to know I am the best and excuse you. I survived high school perfectly without you, WITHOUT dropping out."

They all laughed at his quirky comment and they talked about different things and about all the ridiculous drama Veronica had missed in high school. Jughead wasn't the one for gossip but he was observant so it was easy to explain all this to her. Betty and Archie were quiet and let the two catch up while laughing along with them. Suddenly the topic turned into embarrassing stories of the two of them in middle school.

" Okay, listen to this. So this one day, me and Veronica were going to the movies and the popcorn guy there was 'hot' according to her. So she told me to wait far away so that the guy doesn't think I am her boyfriend. So I follow her order and stand at a place where I can see her making a fool of herself. She took about 15 minutes to get a tub of popcorn because she was twirling her hair and laughing and all. After the movie, she kept looking at him so I told her to go and talk to him. As she was walking by another girl approached him and kissed him and she was like a metre away from him. Oh god, her face at that moment was priceless." Jughead said while laughing.

" Oh you are gonna pay for telling that to them. Jughead here peed his pants in front of the entire class during Maths in eighth grade. Oh, it was sooooooo smelly."

" Hey, I asked the teacher to go to the bathroom like five times and he told me no. Not my fault."

"Whatever. Anyways, enough about New York. What is your and Betty's relationship status? Do you guys have a crush on anyone?"

Oh yeah, Veronica had her plan ready to get her two besties together. She waited for an answer from both of them as she saw Betty look down and blush deep red and Jughead awkwardly looking out of the window and she thought she saw a little red on his cheeks.

Jughead replied," Well I am still single but ready to mingle and I don't think I have a crush on anybody."

Betty nodded to that, deep down knowing it was a lie. Veronica brushed aside the fact that she was 100% sure they both were lying and didn't respond it.

But she did make a comment," Single but ready to mingle? Ew, Jughead. That's the happiest thing to come out from your mouth."

Archie had also seen the tiny blushes on their faces and was squealing inside like a kid who got heir dream present. What if one day his sister and his new best friend got together? He knew Jughead was a good guy and would never hurt his sister like the previous ones. Oh, how broken she was because of them.
