Betty and Jughead worked separately for the entire time in the office until lunch. While working Jughead decided to ask Betty on an unofficial second date, a lunch to as coworkers but also to talk about Betty's feelings to him and also about another thing. Betty on the other hand was jittery. She was still hyped up over last night and wanted to talk to Jughead about it. But Betty being Betty decided to leave it on Jughead to come up to her.
The awful wait for Jughead came to an end as the click struck 1pm. He quickly saved the article he was working on in his computer and walked over to Betty's desk. He stood there for a while trying to formulate what to say as Betty still hadn't seen him there. Finally she felt a shadow over her and looked up from her computer. To her surprise she saw Jughead looking elsewhere thinking about something.

She cleared her throat in order to get his attention and then said," Hey Jug, what are you doing here?"

Jughead looked at Betty while his heart fluttered at his given nickname. He lightly shook his head to come out of his thoughts and said," Hey Betts, um...I was...uh wondering if you wanted to go out for lunch?"

Betty's green eyes sparkled at her nickname and she responded," Um...sure, why not."

Jughead smiled and nodded at that as Betty organized her table. She took her phone and nodded towards Jughead, signalling that she is ready to go. On their way they decided to go to Pop's which was a walking distance from the newspaper office. He decided to wait until they had ordered to bring up the main reason of their date. They sat down at opposite sides of the booth in the back and ordered their food. Jughead ordered two cheeseburgers and a chocolate milkshake with a side of fries while Betty ordered a BLT sandwich with a vanilla milkshake and a side of onion rings.

After Pop took their order Betty asked," How hungry are you?"

" Really hungry. I mean all I ate was 2 protein bars and a hamburger along with a milkshake which I got from Pop's in the morning."

" You do realize that that's a lot of food right?"

" What can I say, we Jones' have a big appetite."

" And also a good metabolism I suppose."

" I guess. Okay so I need to ask you something."

" Sure. Go ahead."

" Uhm...I don't really know how to put it. I am more of a writer than a speaker but uh you know that of course. I think so. Anyways what I wanted to ask was that did you enjoy yesterday? Cuz I kind of texted you last night but you didn't answer so I am confused."

Betty took Jughead's hands in her and exclaimed," Yes Jughead! I loved our time yesterday. Archie and I were talking about it and I didn't check my phone all night and today morning was really hectic. I had to wake up Archie and get him to office on time."

Jughead laughed at the last and he felt relieved at her words. He then asked," So I'm...what are we then?"

Betty got nervous at that question as she didn't know how to answer it and stuttered," I- uh don't know. What um...do you want us to be?"

" Well if you want to...will you be my girlfriend?", Jughead asked nervously.

" Yes Juggie, I would love to!"

Jughead smiled large at Betty's answer and they both leaned in automatically and kissed each other lovingly.
