Twenty Five

A/N Let's forget the fact that both Betty and Jughead look extremely tensed in the picture above. They are happy.

It had been a month since Jughead asked Betty to become his girlfriend. Things have been going smoothly between them and they also told everyone one at a time. FP was happy for his son and also met Betty a week ago. Alice Cooper was shocked but quickly accepted Jughead knowing that he was a good kid. Archie was supportive of them but simultaneously threatened Jughead like any normal protective elder brother. Kevin and Veronica's reaction was the same at the same time.

Flashback

" Sooooo, why did you call us here?", Kevin asked plopping down on the bed. He was the last to arrive out of the three of them.

" Yeah, what was so important that I had to skip on my beauty sleep B?", Veronica said sounding tired.

" Um- well I don't know...", Betty stammered not knowing how to tell them.

Jughead put his arm around Betty's shoulder calming her down a little and then took it upon himself to make the announcement.

" So Betty and I are officially dating.", Jughead stated with a huge grin.

Within the seconds of those lines, Archie smiled big matching Jughead, Kevin sat up straighter trying to process the news he had just received and Veronica's tired self burst into a lot of energy.

" Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my godddd! This is amazing guys! I KNEW IT WOULD EVENTUALLY HAPPEN!", Veronica exclaimed probably letting the Cooper's neighbours to hear them.

Betty and Jughead came closer to each other smiling still while Kevin questions," Wait, when did this happen?"

" Two days ago when we went on our lunch break at Pop's.", Jughead stated.

Archie's grinning face turned into a questioning look while he asked," Wait a minute...that's why you were coming so much to our house? How did I not notice."

" No offence Archiekins but you are kinda oblivious to most of the things happening around you. Remember how long it took for you to understand that I was flirting with you? I think it's a sibling thing.", Veronica said smirking at both Betty and Archie now.

End of flashback

Today Betty was supposed to go to Pop's with Jughead. She wore a casual dress, nothing too fancy since it was just Pop's and then waited for Jughead to come get her. Within 5 minutes she heard the engine of a car and ran out through the door. She went up to Jughead and passionately kissed him while jughead was shocked at the energy.

" Hey Betts, no hi or hello just straight to point I see."

Betty giggled at his words as Jughead opened the door for her. A month had gone by and Jughead never stopped being a gentleman. They rode the short ride to Pop's while talking about different things. That's what Betty liked about Jughead. He was easy to talk to and she could talk about anything and everything with him. She may love him by now but is too afraid to say it thinking it's too early. What she doesn't know is that Jughead feels the same about her and has the exact same feelings in him. The reached their destination and Sat in the same booth he had asked her to be his girlfriend. They never sat in any other booth ever since that. They had just ordered their food when the bell chimed signifying that someone had just come in. Betty took a quick glance at who had come in from Jughead's shoulder and her eyes widened in horror.

Jughead noticed Betty's sudden change in expression an asked concerned," Betts, is everything alright?"

He turned to look at the direction Betty was looking at. There were two men standing there about their age looking around for a booth. Jughead didn't recognize them from his time at Riverdale and turned back to Betty, waiting for her answer.

She stuttered," Th-that's uh Trevor Brown and um Ch-chuck Cla-clayton."
