I feel it necessary to dedicate this to Honestknife. Thanks for taking the time to read this and following the story so far (:

"So, Morgan, do tell us how Fury managed to talk you into this little freak show," Clint dead-panned like it was the most casual of conversations. The whole team had moved to the lounge after everyone had decided that they were well and truly stuffed.
Natasha and Clint were sprawled across one couch, Natasha with her feet nestled comfortably in Clint's lap as he rubbed small, soothing circles against them; Bruce and Steve were on another couch, Steve looking as irritable as ever and Bruce looking uncomfortably green; and Pepper, Morgan and I were on the other couch. There was tension in the room, that was for sure but nobody knew why exactly, well Steve must have given his current facial expression but nobody was willing to stop long enough to address the elephant in the room. Morgan laughed at the bluntness of Clint's question.
“Honestly? He waved the opportunity of meeting Jane Foster in my face and said that I may be of use at some point in the reconstruction of the Einstein-Rosen Bridge. Oh course that wasn't the only reason, joining you guys meant that I would get to work with some of the greatest scientific minds in history,” she gestured towards me and Banner. “I would get to meet an actual God, two if Loki is included and plus who doesn't want to work for a high end, high security, law enforcement, world-saving super heroes?” She laughed
Morgan
the evening had went well so far, conversation had flown smoothly between my new team mates, well except for Miss Potts. She had seemed stiff and uncomfortable all evening, she hadn't drank anything and she had barely touched her food. And Doctor Banner was very much the same although I could understand to why he wouldn't be drink excessively. Tony on the other hand was well into his single bottle of scotch and was beginning to speak a little bot more of his mind than he should be. He had a well known reputation for being an ass when he was drunk.
“Let's be honest, Barton, she just jumped at the chance to spend all that time with us nice looking guys,” that drew a possessive growl from Natasha, she was something I certainly did not want to reckon with. “Especially Cap over there. Cap! Hey, Cap! Dr Reid so has the hots for you.” Tony hiccuped. This was getting mighty embarrassing. Pepper sighed and scrubbed a hand over her face. She got up and left swiftly, ignoring Tony's protests entirely. Tony scooted up the couch which gave them both a bit more room to spread out.
“I can assure you Steve-” I began.
“Nuhuh Stevie, don't you listen to her and her mean words.” Tony told him unnecessarily loudly. Steve was flushing an uncomfortable shade of pink now. If he didn't look uncomfortable before Tony's outburst, he certainly did now.
“That's enough, Tony. I think we should be getting you to bed now,” Steve started to get up and moved towards Tony who started kicking his legs out and flailing his arms like a child throwing a tantrum.
“Get away, no! Stevee! Leave me be! We haven't even played Halo yet, come on, Steve. Barton, you know you want to play a nice big game of slayer. And Morgan, I bet you play Halo like a typical girl,” Tony teased and I smirked. It wasn't strictly necessary for Tony to know right this instant that I used to spend her weekends with my friends from university playing huge games of Slayer and capture the flag. Beating Tony would be nothing more than a walk in the park compared to the guys I used to play with.
“You're on, Stark,” I said, a wicked grin playing on my lips. Barton and Natasha visibly recoiled.
“This is about to get messy, I can tell,” Natasha laughed. “Count me out, I've never been good at Slayer but I am staying to watch Stark get his ass kicked by a girl. Clint?”
“Count me out this round, but I have to see this. If you lose, Tony, you're cooking for a week.”
Bruce choked back a laugh at that, that had been the first attempt at conversation he'd made all night. “Tony? Cooking? It's okay, I'll do the cooking. Tony shouldn't even be allowed near the kitchen. You would have less chance of making yourself chronically ill if you let Dummy do the cooking. We need a better wager than that.” Steve took this as an opportunity to set up the xbox and start up the game for them.
“What about one of your nice cars?” Clint intercepted helpfully. “Of course not including the Bugatti, because that's mine,” Natasha elbowed Clint in the ribs, “sorry ours.” Clint and Natasha snickered at the comment and Steve looked visibly sick. Tony, however, looked mortified.
“Okay, okay, the wager is set. If I win, I can just keep my pride in tact but if by some miraculous act against nature you win, you can have my Bentley.” I went wide eyed but took his hand firmly when he offered it to seal our bet.
“Stand back, boys,” I grinned as I took the controller offered to me by Steve. “I'm about to wipe the floor with Stark. This is how the professionals do it, honey.” And with that, the match started.

Sorry, again, for this taking so long. I've had a lot of family issues. I will try and get the slayer match posted either tonight or tomorrow depending on whether or not I get all of my homework done. I hope you enjoy this chapter, I know it isn't much. Comment and vote guys, let me know what I'm doing right , or wrong as the case may be. ~Louise <3
