"Two iced americano, two cafe lattè and one iced cold caramel macchiato", says the woman who appears to be in her early thirties, while carefully placing the orders on the table. She smiled at the group of customers who all seemed to be in their college years. They've been a regular at the cafè for three years now, so the woman pretty much know them. The cafè's popular for students like them given that they give student discount plus the ambiance provides FriendGram-able background which has been the latest trend. The drinks also provide such a soothing taste to the palates and it's just two blocks away from the school making it a perfect cafè to spend your time with. The owner might have been a book lover since they have bookshelves attached to the walls designed in a heart, star and butterfly shape. The customers can choose from the books and scan through them while having a good taste of their drinks accompanied by relaxing music.
"Thank you", the young girl in a powder blue t-shirt replied with a smile and the woman went back to the counter. "It's been only a week since we get back to school but I feel like I'm already exhausted".
"'Cause your body's still adjusting from the long vacation", the man sitting opposite to her exclaimed then sipped his coffee.
"Michael is right, Yaz." It was Gabby, the nerd looking one wearing eyeglasses who doesn't really love to study. "I've been feeling the same lately, but we'll soon get a hang of it, right Adrein?"
Everyone stared at Adrein who seemed to be out of focus from the group, he barely touched his coffee and his hands are tapping the table. He is sternly looking at something on the table to their left.
"Adrein, are you with us?" Michael called his attention but got no response. "Gabby what's the deal?"
"I don't know! Why are you even asking me? He was fine, besides we arrived here together and he was okay" , Gabby replied in her defense.
"But you were sitting next to him", Michael quickly responded.
"And so? That doesn't mean I did something that may offend him", she leaned forward and raised her eyebrows while crossing her arms rested on the table.
"Guys, don't go overboard. I'm sure Adrein is just thinking... of something" Yaz signaled the two to shut up and looked at where Adrein is gazing. They noticed that Adrein's eyes were fixated on the table next to them. It was situated in the corner of the cafè and has a nice view of the street and passers-by. You can also see everyone coming in and out of the cafè if you sit on the couch adjacent to the wall. Since it's located in the corner, it's also a perfect spot for killing time while having a good coffee and a nice book, isolated from all the chattering inside the cafè.
"Aist! Well, I also miss that corner table, but what can we do? It's already occupied when we arrived. Do you think, we can like, reserve that table for us every afternoon?", Michael asked with much enthusiasm.
While the three keeps on blaberring about the corner table, Adrein can't keep his eyes away from it. He was not actually looking at the table but at the girl occupying it. Her hands catches his attention. She was reading a book and her fingers are doing something on the leaves of the book. He's trying to see the girl's face but her medium length hair falls naturally as she's looking down at the book she's reading, covering the side of her face making it impossible for Adrein to see it. Adrein stood from his seat and walked slowly towards the girl. Yaz, Michael and Gabby had their eyes wide opened, surprised by what he is doing.
"Is it really him? Approaching a girl he doesn't know? Do you think he's gonna make a move?" Yaz uttered in a low pitch voice.
"Excuse me?" Adrein nicely said. The girl looked at him and brushed her hair with hands.
