"Namjoon."

Ooff... I called him without honorifics for the first time.

"Good girl." He smiled. "So what do you usually do during the weekends?"

"Nothing much. I read books, probably go to a library and spend almost half of the day there." I told him.

"Nice. You go alone?" He questioned me.

"Your professor instincts aren't going away from you, are they?" I mocked. He raised his eyebrows, confused. "I mean our conversation is like a viva voce examination."

He chuckled. "Yeah. I'm sorry. But interrogations will only let me know well about you, doesn't it?"

"True though. But quit the professor's tone. Friends don't talk that way." While I told him so, the distance between us reduced by a millimeter.

I was clutching onto my bag as I hopped while walking. The night was peaceful and calm. It was surprisingly empty too. The street lights were the only source of light. We were now walking in the middle of the road.

"Y/n. Sorry for asking another question. I couldn't help but ask you." Namjoon spoke.

"Fine. This one alone."

"Do you enjoy my lectures?" He threw another question at me.

"Honestly, I think you are one of the best professors in our department. Where did you study? America or Australia?"

"None. I pursued my graduate studies in England." He laughed.

"Don't tell me you went to Oxford University." I looked at him surprised.

"Nope. Not Oxford. I wish I went there." Namjoon replied.

"What stopped you then? Did you miss the deadline or something?"

"Quit the student instincts y/n. You can ask your questions when we are inside the campus."

"Not fair. You can't use my line on me."

"All is fair if you think it's fair." His smile vanished suddenly.

"Look at the Moon, Namjoon." I tried to divert him. He looked at the full moon in the sky and his smile returned.

"She's beautiful and heart captivating." He said and turned his face to see me straight into my eyes.

"I think the same as well. He's charming." I told him. My eyes were on his.

My body went stiff and cold. Our eyes never blinked. From the rearview, I could see his lips parting to form words but he swallowed it back. The tension was slowly building within me. I could hear our breaths. It was so loud all of a sudden. My heart raced at a speed I've never experienced.

Why are you shaking up my heart, professor Namjoon?

Just then, a familiar voice interrupted our moment. The figure to whom the voice belonged was walking towards us from behind.

"What the fuck are you doing here at this hour you unruly piece of shit?" He asked me with bitterness showing off in his voice.

My blood was boiling at the appearance of the man I hate the most. Such a deceiver. I almost froze on my spot.

"Y/n, what's wrong?" Namjoon tried to shake off my preoccupied thoughts.

The man from behind grabbed my hand and threw a slap on my face.
