the next day, finally lmao

→sky's pov←

i wake up to the brightness of the sun, beaming through the sheer curtains in the hotel. i blink heavily a couple times and look around the room. sitting up, i stretch a little in bed, before grabbing my phone and walking into the bathroom.

"finally sleepy head, brush up, so i can put ur shit away" sasha says gently. i always thought it was funny how she can say what are considered "curse" words so normally in her dialect. 

sasha's a nice sister. i brush my teeth and then walk back out into the main room, to see her packing my stuff.

"sash, you don't have to do that" i say gently, pulling her shoulder to look at me.

"uh yes i do, don't stress about it, but u need to change for the airport. we're checking out in like ten minutes" she said super chill.

what. the. fuck. 

ten minutes yeah that's enough time. i grab my clothes and rush to the bathroom. changing into athletic shorts and a loose t-shirt. i throw my hair into a messy half up half down look, and put on some sunscreen and my glasses.

give myself one final check in the mirror before walking back out. i grab my charger and chuck it into my carry-on. also doing a quick check to make sure i have everything. i'm paranoid as shit. too afraid to loose anything.

"c'mon sky! time to go down" sash yells from the door. i look in her direction, before seeing ruel's note. i grab it and stuff it in my bag with the rest of the stuff. then sprint to the elevator, so my parents don't get upset about being late. 

time skip: they do be checking out tho

as my mom is checking out of the hotel, i'm scrolling through instagram, until i feel a tap on my shoulder.

"yeah, what's up, sash" i mumble not taken my attention off of my phone. i hear a lower voice chuckle. when i look up, i jump a little out of shock.

"oh ruel! sorry, though you were my sister" i say embarrassed. i can feel my cheeks heating up, and i rub my face gently.

"no need to be embarrassed, sky. are you leaving?" he says questioning, slightly tilting his head to the left.

"yea we ar- how did u know i was embarrassed? i mean i wasn't bu- but.." i say super nervously, he throws his head back with a laugh, slightly hinging his knees. i just bit my lip with anxiety.

"don't worry sky, you're just easy for me to read. can no one else read you?" he said with a big smile.

"no, no one has been able to do that" i say tweaking my lips to the side, looking down.

"oh well, stop worrying about it, you're fine," he said hugging my figure from the side, "so uhm, do u wanna do something, we could go to the gift shop, or just walk around......."

i couldn't hear him anymore, sasha dragged me off with the rest of the family. i quietly protested, saying how i couldn't just leave him, because that would be rude. but she didn't care. she didn't want me to get stuck in hawaii i suppose.

i see her.

just as i turn to go to the pool, i see her.

luggage in hand, scrolling through her phone.

she's leaving already?

stop it brain. she means nothing to you.

maybe i can have another adventure with her.

yeah, just one more.

...

i gently tap her shoulder, trying not to startle her. "yeah, what's up, sash" she says not really caring, and i can't help but give out a little chuckle.

her head shoots up, and looks up at my tall figure. she jumps and then steadies herself.

"oh ruel! sorry, though you were my sister" she says with a nervous tone. shyly smiling up to me to break some of her awkward tension. it's cute, her cheeks are getting really red, she must be embarrassed.

"no need to be embarrassed, sky. are you leaving?" i say with a head tilt, i try to sound happy, but i wish she could stay longer.

"yea we ar- how did u know i was embarrassed? i mean i wasn't bu- but.."  she stutters over her words. i let out a laugh, not on purpose, but she is just too nervous right now.

"don't worry sky, you're just easy for me to read. can no one else read you?" i say. odd she's so easy for me to see her feelings.

"oh well, stop worrying about it, you're fine," i mumbled, giving her an awkward side hug, "so uhm, do u wanna do something, we could go to the gift shop, or just walk around together. what do you think sky?" i turn around to look for her and she's gone, "sky?"i look around, making sure no one saw me talking to no one.

but she didn't mean anything.

i just move on and walk to the pool, if only i could see her again.
