→sky's pov←

i could feel my hands shaking, my body full of excitement. i look up at ruel with one of the largest smiles on my face. "i truly don't know how you did this" i whisper up at him as a crew member leads us through the backstage.

"i did this for you" he whispers back, " i know how much you love their music, just imagine how good it will be live" he says returning the smile. i feel his hand rubbing small circles over my back, comforting me to relax a bit more.

"i'm not sure how you're so composed right now, you don't seem to be nervous at all" i notice, and see his eyes widen slightly, then he scoffs and looks away. "are you okay?" i say, confused at his sudden behavior.

"and here we are" the crew member grabs my attention away from ruel, motioning towards a room labeled 'green room'. peeking into the room and seeing the four members sitting, eating, and just relaxing before they run onto the stage.

matthew gets up from his seat on the couch, making his way over to ruel and myself. he approaches ruel first, "how's it going man" he says giving a hug to ruel. ruel mutters his response, but then matthew's attention is directed towards me. "hello little lady, what's ur name again?" he says reaching his hand out for me to shake.

my mouth slightly parted, hands clasped in front of me, completely starstruck. i feel ruel lightly pat my back and i realize what's happening, reaching for his hand, shaking it lightly. "i'm sky, skylar, but you can call me sky" i ramble out, laughing awkwardly at the end.

"hopefully you know the rest of the guys, adam... ross.. and george" he says motioning towards each of them, them returning a wave towards me. "are you excited for the concert?" he says with a smile.

i nod, some of my shyness coming back to me, a small blush setting over my face. i feel ruel lean over and plant a small kiss to my temple, and i can tell my blush is only deepening. "so, how's your guy's day been?" ross speaks out...

→ruel's pov←

the small talk and separate conversations continue for almost an hour, until someone is yelling for the band to get ready for stage. "c'mon guys, hustle, hustle, you're on in ten!" i hear and see the band rustle around, grabbing what they'll need for stage.

a different crew member approaches, a clipboard in her hand, "okay so leslie is going to take you to the backstage sitting" she gestures to a taller woman motioning for us to follow her.

"this is going to be so cool to watch, sky, you're going to love it" i gently kiss her cheek, and she smiles wider. she starts skipping as we follow the the crew to our seats. once in our seats, i started staring just at her. i had seen the guys perform countless times before, but her eyes full of starstruck-ness was way more interesting to see.

about half way through the concert, just before they were going to perform somebody else, they took a brief moment to talk to the crowd. i knew what was about to happen as i started wiping my sweaty hands on the fabric draped over my body.

"hey guys!" the band yelled, the crowd roaring with cheers afterwards, "so you have been absolutely lovely for us tonight, but i have something to ask someone very special..." matthew spoke into his mic.

"so i have a question, sky!" he yelled out, head turning to where we sat backstage, "will you be ruel's girlfriend?" he cocked his head. i see her eyes widen, hands covering her mouth as she bends down and she sits on the floor.

"up we go" i whisper, picking her up so i could see her face. "are you okay?" i say again to which she slaps my chest lightly.

"ugh you're so mean, doing all this in front of people. yes i will, but you suck" she says back at me, lightly wiping her eyes. i look over to the stage, seeing matthew looking at me, gesturing a thumbs up with a questioning face. smiling widely, i put the thumbs up back to him.

"she said yes!" he yelled out in the stadium, immediately after the crowd erupted in roars and cheers. i look down at sky laughing lightly, she peers behind the curtain, looking at fans cheering.

"thank you" i say looking behind her, her face perplexed as she looks back at me, "thank you for giving me another chance, sky".

better not fuck it up this time.
