Daisy

Chapter eighteen

Waking, I was in a gloomy room, the windows were boarded up, but sunlight was streaming through the cracks, meaning it was daytime.

Holding my hand to my head, I cradled it, trying to soothe the sore spot. I wasn't restrained, and as far as I could tell I hadn't been caused any other bodily harm.

The oldest Mikaelson sibling walked into the room "I'm sorry I had to knock you out, I had to get you away from Niklaus, and I really am sorry for this" he lifted his hand, and muttered something, I half expected some type of pain or something, instead Finn dropped to his knees, clutching his head. He screamed out in pain "why have you done this to me?!" He yelled in aggravation, but I couldn't be more confused, what was happening?

"Hello Daisy" I twisted around at the sudden voice, it belonged to a blonde woman, she had a kind smile on her face. "I'm Esther"

My eyebrows scrunched together in confusion. The Mikaelson siblings had told me about their parents. I thought they were both dead. "How are you here?" I questioned.

"The ancestors sent me" her head tilted "the child you carry is the hope of this world, it must be born" she insisted

"Why? Why is my baby so important?" I asked, getting up from the couch

"I don't have much time, but remember you are the one that needs to quell Niklaus' anger, if you do not, generations of vampires will fall" she disappeared, her words lingering in my brain.

What had she meant by that? A groan from the fallen sibling called my attention.

"What happened?" He asked, when a voice called through the house though, he sped behind me, holding my neck in such a way that if he flinched, I'd be dead.

"Finn" that was Klaus, there was so much anger in his voice, I was sure the windows rattled from the pure volume. He turned the corner into the room, only to freeze when he saw the position I was in.

"Brother" Finn greeted calmly, but there was a slight tremor in his hands, one that made me slightly nervous.

"Release Daisy now, and maybe I won't kill you, brother" he growled out, I heard different sets of footsteps in the house, the entire family must be here.

"The thing the two of you created cannot be allowed to live, father was right when he said you should have never been born" Finn spat.

"Hey, Klaus look at me" I called, his eyes softening when they finally found mine. "I'm going to be fine, it's going to be okay" I tried to reassure, turning my attention to Finn I talked again. "Finn, let me go, your own mother didn't like what you were doing" I felt his grip slacken in shock, which was my opening I was waiting for.

I slammed my heel down on his foot, knowing full well it wouldn't do much damage, but it did buy me a few seconds to get free of his grip, and in that time frame, Klaus caught on to what I was doing, so in the blink of an eye I was safely across the room, and Klaus had Finn pinned against the wall by the neck.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't stake you with white oak right now" My soulmate growled angrily.

Even from across the room I could see Finn's eyes widen in fear, but ended up choking out. "The baby Daisy carries is an abomination." The words seemed to have finally sunk in with Klaus because he glanced at me, a soft look in his eye.

"How is it possible?" He turned back to his brother, demanding an answer.

"I don't know" Finn started to look panicked "but it happened, if you don't believe me, listen" a moment of silence followed, most likely the vampires were using their hearing.

"Go find Elijah" Klaus glanced back at me, obviously not wanting me to see what he was about to do.

I moved forward, I needed to stop this before Klaus actually killed his brother. "You can't kill Finn, no one deserves that Klaus" I moved my hand to his back, trying to calm him down. "If you kill him, you'll never be able to forgive yourself, he's family"

"He tried to kill our child, he tried to kill you" My fiancé tried to object.

"Yes he did, but I'm okay, but if you kill your own brother, you will regret it forever." He seemed to consider my words, obviously wanting to do the opposite, but sighed, turning to me and bringing me into a tight hug.

I watched Finn sag with relief, only looking slightly guilty when he caught my eye.

"We're okay" I whispered, only for Klaus to pull me impossibly closer.

"Daisy" a familiar voice exclaimed, turning My head I saw the rest of the Mikaelson siblings, standing in the doorway. "You're okay!" Rebekah said happily.

I got a polite nod from Elijah, and a wink from Kol, assuming they heard everything, that meant everyone knew I was pregnant.
