It had been two days.
Lucifer was angry--he felt betrayed by Jophiel. Something in him was worried about her well-being, but she would have sent out a signal or prayer if she was in trouble.
Sabrina was worried, she knew that Jophiel wouldn't have lied to her but couldn't help but be upset.
Lilith was thankful. She was happy that Sabrina wouldn't have to be in competition with an archangel.
No one knew why she hadn't returned.
Jophiel sat in a small room in Heaven. Essentially grounded by her father for going against Him. He was supposed to meet with her and talk about what she'd done, so sat and waited.
Her cheeks were stained with tears and her face puffy. Michael hadn't spoken a word to her since the day he placed her in her room. Gabriel had come by only a few times, he felt so bad for her. Every time he passed the door he heard her cries and prayers to their Father.
She looked up when she heard a knock on the door. She stood up straight, flattening her dress in the back.
"Jophiel," Michael opened the door, "Father is asking to see you."
"Yes, sir." She walked towards the door, following Michael down the hallway.
When they arrived, he had opened the door for her. She walked in alone, only her Father was in the room.
"Good evening, Father."
"Jophiel." He warned, "Sit down."
Her heart felt like it was falling apart, nothing in the universe could calm her.
"Yes, sir." She sat across from him.
"You've been in Hell with Lucifer, have you not."
"Yes, sir. I was with him."
"Do you mind telling me why?"
"I-" She stuttered, "I missed him."
"So it was merely just a reunion."
"Yes, sir. That's all."
He stood up and walked towards her, "So you hadn't came back to Heaven to help Hell with a mission?"
She stuttered again, struggling to say anything.
"Well," He said, "I asked you a question."
"I was going to help Sabrina win the thrown on Hell."
"Sabrina Morningstar?"
"Yes, sir."
"Is there any intent for you to stay in Hell."
"Lucif-"
"I didn't ask about Lucifer. It's a yes or no question."
"Yes sir."
"Do you want to stay in Hell?"
"No sir."
"Then why did you say there was intent?"
"For Lucifer's sake, then again--I want to be with Michael and Gabriel. They're my other best friends."
"Darling, you must understand Lucifer is no longer your brother. He will try and manipulate you and make you believe things that are not true."
"He seems sincere, Father."
"He hasn't changed, Jophiel. Nor will he."
"Trust me on this. He's not what you think."
She nods, looking up to her Father.
"I understand Father. He will be angry with me though."
"I know, I will handle it." He placed a hand on her back, "Go back to your room now, I will ask Michael to give your powers back."
"Yes, sir." She stands up, beginning to walk out, "Father?"
"Yes?"
"Do angels have mates?"
"It depends," He looks at her, "Why do you ask?"
"No reason."
