A soft knock came at Jophiel's door—thankfully Michael had arrived to give her back her powers. They had been taken away to protect both Jophiel and Heaven, so she wouldn't pray to Lucifer.

"Jophiel." He smiled, "I assume Father has forgiven you?"

"Yes, Michael. He has," She turned to him, "I'm sorry for what I had done."

"It's okay. You don't know the Lucifer we know."

"What was he like?"

"Angry. Greedy." He sighed, sitting down on her bed, "He was cocky."

"Is that why Father kicked him out?"

"There were more problems than just that, but Father will tell you those later."

Jophiel nods, avoiding eye-contact with him, "Do you think I have a mate?"

The question took him by surprise, "Excuse me?"

"Like do you think-"

"I understood what you meant." He raised a brow, "Why do you ask?"

"There is no reason." She looked down, blushing at the questions.

"Jophiel is he from He-"

"I'll forget about it." She sighed, worried that she'd upset him.

"What's his name?"

"Caliban."

"Who is he?"

"He's a prince of Hell."

"Absolutely not." He placed a hand on hers, "Be cautious Jophiel. We don't want you hurt."

"I know that." She sighed, "May I have my powers back?"

"Yes." He smiled weakly, placing a hand against her forehead. She felt a cool sensation run its course through her body, causing her to shiver.

"Thank you, Michael."

"Please don't disobey again--" He said, grabbing her wrist, "I don't want to lose you to him."

She nods, staying quiet. Her facial expressions softened. Michael was very nice to her always, he just didn't normally show affection.

"I'll be with our Father--if you need me." With that, he walks out leaving Jophiel with her thoughts.

"Caliban." She prayed.

She waited for about thirty seconds with no response. 'Maybe he's busy,' she thought.

"How are you doing this?" He asked back.

"The same way you are, prayer."

"Where are you?"

"It doesn't matter. How is my brother?"

"Angry--you've betrayed him."

"No-No, I have not!"

She began to pace around her room, still feeling sympathy for Lucifer.

"Then why haven't you came back to Hell?"

"I-My Father found out what I had done." She sighed, "I gotta go, please tell Lucifer I'm okay."

She blocked out any prayers he sent after, avoiding the hurt she already felt. Lucifer really thought she had betrayed him?

Another knock on her door caused her to turn around quickly, "Hello, Joph." Gabriel said, leaning against the door.

"Hi, Gabe." She smiled weakly, "How are you?"

"I wanted to ask you that," He walked towards her, "You look upset."

She avoided answering his question and just looked at him.

"Is it Lucifer?" He asked.

She nods, still staying quiet.

"He's trying to manipulate you, Jophiel."

"Why does everyone keep saying that?"

"Because it's true."

She sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose, "I've always been closer to him though." She walks passed Gabriel, "Not once have I ever been lied to by him."

"Oh really?" He turns, "What about in the Garden?"

"He didn't lie-"

"He made you believe it was a joke, causing you and Gadreel to let him in AFTER he'd been kicked from Heaven in the beginning."

"But-"

"No, you don't see that he's been using you since you were old enough to walk." Gabriel spat, "He groomed you!"

"No, he didn't."

"Yes, he did." He mocked.

"Get out of my room."

He did as he was asked and left, leaving Jophiel with her thoughts. She was hurt because he was right, she'd been used by him since she was little. He taught her skills that she wasn't supposed to know.
