Chapter 16: 'Confession'

Today is finally Saturday, the day when Latoya and I decided to go to the theater.

"Come on you slow poke."

"Says the one who joined the tracks team in high school. " I stopped to catch my breath because someone decided to run from the park to the theater.

"Let's go in." I rolled my eyes and went in with her.

"So what are we watching?" We looked on all the movies on walls until I saw one I wanted to see.

"What about this one?" I pointed at it.

"Avengers End Games' Hell yeah!" I laughed at her and went with her to get some popcorn.

"I can't believe that Iron man died. That torture." Latoya laughed at when I was arguing about Iron man's death.

"I'm not joking Latoya stop laughing like a maniac. " she continued laughing until we exited the theater.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE!?" Latoya and I heard a lady arguing. We were about to look who it was but we looked at each and shook our heads.

"Not our problem, stay out of it." We started walking away and continued talking about the movie. Until...

"JACOB IM TALKING TO YOU!!"Hold up. Jacob. As in Jacob Sterling. We stopped in our tracks and turned around to see Jacob and a woman from work arguing.

"Listen let's just break up and go our ways, simple." He turned around and walked away from her until she grabbed his shirt.

"Why Jacob, why?!" He didn't answer her. She looked at Latoya and I and smiled. She fold her hand and scoffed.

"Oh I get it. Its because that Latoya chick huh." He turned around and grabbed her arm.

"Mention her name in that tone again and I make you life a liven hell." Ooo... someone has a crush. I looked over at Latoya who was a tomato. Okay?

Jacob turned around and looked up only to us standing here. I tried to hold in my laughter.

"L-Latoya I didn't see you there." He looked from her and blushed. I pushed Latoya towards him and smiled. She gave a look that says 'I'm gonna kill you.'

"Umm..." she bit her lips and looked at him. Good luck Latoya.

"Welp, this is awkward."

"What do you mean by awkward, you just broke up with your girlfriend. "

"Whatever, it's not like I liked her anyways." Latoya stepped back from him and held her chest.

"What do you mean you never liked her?"

"Yeah, I mean she only begged me to date her so it's no big deal. "
She muttered something under breath and closed her eyes.

"What's wrong Latoya?" He touched her shoulder and she slapped it off.

"I DON'T KNOW WHY I LIKED YOU!!" She looked at him with tears in her eyes. What the hell?

"What do you mean by-"

"JUST SHUT UP JACOB!!" He closed his mouth and looked her. I could tell that he was hurt.

"I liked you ever since but when you went to high school you changed. I never saw the Jacob I grew up with. I never saw the boy I fell in love anymore." She started sobbing and turned away from him.

"Latoya... Im-"

"Forget it Jacob, just leave me alone. "
