Chapter 17: 'Rejected '

"N-Nicole what are you doing here?"

"WHAT I'M DOING HERE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!!?"

"Umm.... I work here." I rolled my eyes and looked at Zane who was silent.

"I need to go." He walked away and went in his office. What the heck. What wrong with him. I sighed and held my head. I heard Nicole chuckled.

"What's so funny Nicole?" Shs took up bag and held my shoulder.

"Let's face it Olivia even though he kisses you dosen't mean he likes you." I groaned and went to his office. What do you know about Nicole. As I reached his office I sighed and opened the door.

"Zane?" He turned around and shook his head.

"This is what I was running from, Nicole knowing about this." So what it like she can do anything about it.

"I never knew, Besides what is she doing here. " I thought she was banned.

"I don't know. But since she knows now I think we should stop this." What!?

"Hold up, what did you say?" He slapped his forehead and shook his head.

"Shit, that never came out properly. Listen I meant..." I clenched my fist and look at him.

"Forget it Zane. It already came out." I turned around and held the door nob. I can believe this. My heart was broken.

"Olivia wait. Please." Tears came my eyes. I couldn't believe what he just said.

"Leave me alone Zane. You did what you did, just forget it. " he held my hand and I pulled away. I came out and shut the door infront of him.
I can't believe you Zane.

I got home and ran right in my bed. My phone started ringing and I took it up to see Zane's name. I shut it off and put it aside. He called me and texted me but I never answered. I'm not going to answer him. And I meant it. I've been through to much pain and I can't go through anymore.

Zane's POV :

I called her and texted her hoping that she'll answer but she didn't. I'm such an ass. Why did I say that to her? I love her why do I care if someone doesn't approve of it. I know she dosen't want to be with me because she can't manage to lose someone she loves. Now I  just made it harder for her.

I sighed and got up from my room to go to the kitchen until I heard my doorbell ringing. Who the hell could be here at nine PM. I opened the door revealing...Jacob!?

"Hey Zane."

"Jacob, what the hell are you doing here?" I let him in and sat next to him in the couch.

"I made a mistake that I can't fix." That's the first... someone like you cant make mistakes.

"How bad was it?" What a question Zane.

"Really bad. You see, Latoya and I grew up together and I've always had feelings for her but I was scared that she'd rejected me. " Hold up Jacob likes Latoya. He face got red when he called her name. Okay, he likes her.

"So I wanted to get rid of the feeling by dating other chicks but it never helped. She just always there smiling and laughing. But now, I realize that she liked me as well. Now she's avoiding me and it hurts. I don't know how to get her back now Zane. I'm confused. " Wow. I never expected this to happen but it happened.

"I don't know how to help you when I'm in the same pit."

"What do you mean Zane?" I got up and ran my hand through my hair.

"Well, Nicole caught me and Olivia kissing in the hallway. " He stood up and wrapped his hand around my shoulder.

"Oh... how did go Mr. Lovey Dovey." Okay seriously dude?

"It was okay but I did something wrong in the end." He sighed and punched me. It didn't hurt, I'm quite muscular for my age. Not my fault.

"Listen I know we were enemies in high school but I think we can be friends again. I mean you were right about my other friends so I think I'll choose wisely. " he's right. I think we can get along.

"Alright Jacob. I told her that I was running from other people knowing especially Nicole and I made a mistake that we should end this relationship. Even though we're not together, I really want us to be a couple but I have to wait on her. But now I don't think that's ever going to happen."

"Ouch, what are you going to do about it. " I looked at him. Didn't he hear what I said?

"What do you mean Jacob?"

"I mean it your fault this happened you know. You were listening to other people than listening to your heart. If you love her, why do care if others don't like the fact that you want to be with her? So it your fault. "

I listened to his words over and over in my head. He's right, it is my fault. I should've done that to her. Her heart must be broken by now because of the Jackass I am. I need to make it up to her. I love her to much to lose her. I'm going to get my queen back.

"Thanks Jacob. "

"Anytime. And since I told you that I think I should really tell Latoya how I feel about her before it's to late."

"Good luck." We hugged and he left. I need to talk to Olivia before I lose her. I don't think I can bare that pain.

The next morning, I went over her house to finally talk to her. Olive was at school so she wouldn't be there, neither Abby since she got a job, well another one. So I hope Olivia is there so she can listen to me. The door opened revealing a half a sleep Olivia.

"Hello?" Cute. Too cute... Her hair was in a messy bun... a really messy bun. She had on a blouse that said, 'I love kittens' and it was true. And a fluffy blue shorts.

"Hi Olivia." She rubbed her eyes and looked at me.

"Zane, What are you doing here?" She looked away from me, I knew she was still hurt.

"I need to talk to you." She shook her head in decline.

"No Zane, I can't bare anymore pain than I already have. I'm not going to listen to you." before I could answer she closed the door. I ran my fingers through my hair and cursed. So much for a promise to never hurt you. I broke it.

"I'm sorry Olivia. I broke my promise." I turned around and went down the stairs. Please forgive me Olivia, I'm begging you. I heard the door open and saw Olivia standing there with tears in her eyes.

"Olivia?" She ran down the stairs and hugged me. What the actual heck?!

"Alright Zane, I'll listen but not here." I nodded and held closely. I missed you Olivia.
