Chapter 12: 'Stay with me,please?'

Zane's POV:

For the past two months that I've known Olivia, I've never seen her cry.
It was horrible, her mom past and she can hardly focus on her job, so as her boss,I gave her a one month break from work. It's now ten pm and I started packing up. It felt quite lonely since she's not here,so I decided to look for her when I have the time.
I texted and called her but it was all the same answer, 'I'm fine' when I knew she wasn't. But I understood, I let her have her alone time.

As reached home I took my work clothes off and wore my boxers and a white shirt, I washed my face and looked at the mirror, the memories of a happy woman was stuck in my brain. I sighed and moved from the sink, I fell on my bed and closed my eyes. I started remembering her again and again before I dosed of to sleep.

I woke the next knowing that I didn't have to go to work,  I laid back in my bed and sighed.

"Dammit Olivia." I groaned and went in the bathroom. I showered and came out with a towel on my head. I dried off and put on a Jean's pants, a black shirt and some black sneakers. I went downstairs to start on breakfast until someone knocked my door. I took out my egg and placed it on my plate, I then ran and opened the door seeing someone I never expected.

"Olivia?" She looked up and gave a sad smile. She had black bags under her eyes and she looked exhausted from all the crying.

"Hi Zane." She said softly.

"Oh my God Olivia, what happened to you?" Before see could answer, she fell in my arms. I closed the door and l laid her in the couch, she opened one of her eyes and looked at me. I got up and went for some water to give her, she took it and rested her head down. I placed a pillow under her head and took a blanket and placed it on her.

"Zane?" I looked at her and she a small smile.

"Yeah." She held my hand and brought it to her face.

"Thanks for everything, and I'm sorry for not telling that I wasn't sleeping lately. " I used my thumb and softly rubbed her cheek.

"Its okay Olivia.  I understand. " She smiled before closing her eyes and dosing off to sleep. I kissed her forehead and got up.

She woke up and came into the kitchen where I was on my phone around the island. I turned to her and smiled.

"Hey sleepy head." She rubbed her one of her eyes and smiled at me.

"Hi Zane."

"You okay now?" She came and placed her head on my shoulder.

"I'm okay Zane thanks for asking. " I rubbed the back of her head and smiled.

"You hungry?"

"Nah. I'm not in the eating mood.  Besides I ate before I came here." She yawned while keeping her head on my shoulder, I chucked.

"Why did you come here?" She got up and sat on the stool behind her.

"Well Abby, Olive's nanny, she was on her date with someone and Olive is at school. So I was lonely and had no one to comfort me. So I decided to come here. " She played with her fingers and moved her hair behind her ear.

"Its okay Olivia, no need to be embarrassed. " I held her chin up and looked into her eyes. They were beautiful, her eyes glowed and I couldn't help myself. She looked away and started blushing. I smiled widely and got up, I helped her down and she tripped and fell in my chest,  she looked up and stared at me. I got closer to her lips and had no regrets about what I'm about to do now. And I meant it, I gave her a soft kiss on her pink lips and she replied. I felt my chest slowed down from racing. She wrapped her arms around my neck and my arms held her hips, I continued kissing her until we stopped for a breath. She opened her eyes and looked at me. She smiled and hugged me, I held her tightly.

"Zane?"

"Yeah."

"Can you promise me something?"

"What is it?"

"Will you stay with me, please?" I chuckled and looked at her. I held her chin up before kissing her cheek.

"I promise Olivia. " She gave a small smile and placed her forehead on mine.

"Thanks Zane."

"Anytime."

And I meant it, I will always be by her side. That's a promise that I would never break.

I took her out just to let her clear her mind of everything that happened recently. We went to the beach in the evening just sit and relax.

"Hey Zane?"

"Yeah." She came closer to me and rested her head on my shoulder.

"Have you lost someone you love. I know it's a dumb question but it was on my mind lately. "

"Its okay, but to answer your question. I did lose someone... I lost my sister durning the time she was giving birth to twins. " she entwined her hands with mine.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"Its okay, but the best thing about it is that I met her son, Benjamin. But I also heard that her daughter died. It's hard to take in, but I have to stay strong. " Especially for you.

"Oh." I chuckled and got up.

"Where're you going?" I took her up and pulled her to the shore.

"Zane what the hell?" She laughed and slapped me.

"Come on cheer up."  She rolled  her eyes and ran down the shore for me to catch her. She laughed and continued running. I chased her and I grabbed her from behind and spun her around. She faced me and
wrapped her hands around my neck. I held  her waist and looked in her beautiful eyes.

I don't know what's about this girl but I really love her. More than I thought I ever loved anyone else. She was different.

Sorry for not posting two days ago. I was really busy with school work and other stuff. Anyways, hope y'all like this chapter.
