Chapter 40

Daisies

Levi leans forward to close the small gap between their lips. He wanted to feel her soft lips on his and he couldn't hold back anymore. He didn't care about the world as he leans down to close the gap.

"Captain!" a voice shouts from down the hall and (Y/n) jumps away from him.

He takes a deep breath in, holding back the anger rising up. He looks over at who had called him and softens his glare when he notices it was the Queen being tailed by his squad. He glances at (Y/n) who is standing in front of a finely decorated vase and mumbling about how beautiful it was. Levi sighs at the ruined moment.

Jean and Eren share a glance, knowing what they both were thinking. They had all peaked out of the corner when they heard (Y/n) and Levi talking. All of them had seen how close the short man was close to kissing their friend. They felt an unbelievable amount of jealousy at their closeness.

Levi stands with his arms hanging beside him and (Y/n) turns her body to face her friends. She raises her eyebrow at them, trying to understand why they were so jittery. Historia glances at her and nods her head. (Y/n) furrows her eyebrows in confusion.

She hears Jean whisper to her, "Do it."

Historia brings her arms up in front of her and screams as she runs towards Levi. He turns to the side so she punches his arm making a small sound. Everyone shouts out in amazement at the punch Historia landed on Levi.

She happily walks backwards towards her friends with her hands raised upwards in a triumph pose, "See that! I am Queen! If you have a problem with me-"

A laugh comes from Levi and (Y/n)'s eyes widen, she had never heard something so pure. He smiles at them causing them to step back in shock. Mikasa smiles at Levi, "Thank you, everyone."

He glances at (Y/n) and smiles at her. She gives him a wide smile back, "(Y/n), can we talk-"

"(Y/n)!" Eren and Jean scream at the same time. They appear beside her and Jean wraps his hands under her thighs, throwing her over his shoulder. He runs off before he could get scolded by his superior.

Eren runs after him, holding her coat that had fallen off her shoulders. Her friends run behind them, laughing at their jealousy. Levi watches them run off through the halls. He smiles at them, "(Y/n), you truly are loved. I hope you can open your eyes and see that."

"Jean!" she whines as he wraps his arms around her shoulders, not letting her get away from him, "I'm going to report you for sexual harassment."

"Yeah, horse face, get off her" Eren says and tries to pull him away from her frame.

"You would never do that," he says and she scoffs. Her friends had brought her out to the royal gardens to stay away from Levi. She sticks out her tongue at her friends as she walks backwards ahead of them.

She bumps into someone so she turns back around, "I'm so sorry, agh!"

"You!" they both say in unison as they point at each other. The person she bumped it was none other than the nobleman she had danced that day at the ball. His slick back black hair and brown eyes brought her back.

"Do you know each other?" Connie asks as he glances between them.

"Know each other? She called my mom a whore!" he exclaims as he points at her accusingly.

"And you're Lord Douchebag!" she says back at him and he scoffs at her.

"It's Lord Isaac Sheppard! To think such a filthy lady as yourself would be freely roaming her Majesty's garden" he mocks her and Historia coughs to gain his attention, "Ah! My Queen! I'll have this scoundrel escorted out of here at once."
