Chapter 16

One More Training Montage

"Levi" (Y/n) pouts, riding her brown horse with white spots named Bolt. They were riding together into the woods. They both have their ODM gear on so they were going to most likely train with the titan dummies, "Levi."

"Shut up or I will drop kick you off your horse" Levi angrily states, glaring at the whining girl.

"You're cute when you get angry" (Y/n) flirts to further annoy him.

"You're so annoying, brat" the black-haired man grumbles, stopping his horse in the middle of the woods. He hops down from his horse since his height didn't allow him to get down as normal people did. (Y/n) stifles a laugh at the sight, he's so short and his little legs are so cute.

"You're such an idiot" Levi mumbles as she gets off her horse. They tie the horses onto a low hanging branch, "For today's training, you're going to use your ODM gear while using the wind to cut off the titan dummies' napes."

"Isn't that going to be hard since I have to keep my hands on my blades?" (Y/n) asks, tilting her head.

"I'm not going to give you all the answers," Levi replies and shoots his hooks onto a tree, (Y/n) following behind them. They stand on a thick branch, facing south towards the mountains. 

"No one does" (Y/n) whispers, remembering the way her mother was dodging her questions, it could be because of the curse. Levi notices how she's pondering over something. He wanted to know everything that she thought about. She was a mystery to him and it drove him insane.

"Stop thinking and get to work" Levi states with a bored tone as if telling her to get on with it. (Y/n) rolls her eyes at him, hooking her wires into another tree branch and swinging through the forest. Her eyes spot a dummy up ahead so she throws herself up into the sky without hooking her wires. 

She points her left arm at the dummies nape, the wind cutting through the leather. (Y/n) hooks her wires into a tree, continuing her path. The best way to handle this is if I throw myself into the air to cut the napes, however, if I'm too slow I could come crashing down onto the ground or a titan could grab me.

She swings through the trees when another dummy appears, she repeats what she did on the previous dummy and continues her path. Where's Levi?

Another dummy appears, and she does the same, but something crashes into her. She goes flying into a tree branch, the air getting knocked out of her lungs. She coughs as she looks up at what had rammed into her. Levi was standing above her with his arms crossed.

"You're too slow" Levi states, "If I was an actual titan, then you would be dead."

(Y/n) gets up from the branch and jumps off the branch, hooking her wires into another tall ass tree. She follows the path, two dummies appearing before her. She swings her body up into the sky, above both of them. She turns her body to look down and releases air, cutting both leather napes. 

Just as she was falling down to the ground, Levi comes out of nowhere again to slam into her, but she creates an air dome around her sending the short man back into a tree. He slams into the tree and freefalls towards the ground.

"Shit!" (Y/n) curses. She moves her left arm towards Levi's body, creating a wind platform below him. She lowers him to the ground, and she lands on her feet. She runs up to him, panic flowing through her veins. (Y/n) kneels down next to his unconscious body and holds him against her chest.

"Levi, I'm so sorry" (Y/n) whispers, tears breaming her eyes, "I forgot you're human."

She checks the back of his head to see if he was bleeding, but his head was fine. She pats down his body, trying to find any broken bones. His body was completely fine, however, he was unconscious. She cups his pale cheek, closing her eyes.
