Chapter 9

Suicidal Maniac

Mikasa was up ahead, wildly cutting at the napes of titans with Connie trailing right behind her for support. (Y/n) had Armin in her arms as she jumps from roof to roof, avoiding any titans making their way towards her. Armin is paralyzed in fear, he didn't know how the hell (Y/n) was able to jump from roof to roof. They were getting closer to HQ, the intelligent titan following behind them. 

A titan's face was pressed against the large window of the HQ when the intelligent titan punched its head. Mikasa, Connie, and (Y/n) made it through the window, surprising their friends that were in the room. (Y/n) puts Armin down on the ground, his body trembling from how (Y/n) flew through the wind.

"How..." Armin said weakly, "How were you able to jump from roof to roof like that! It's humanly impossible!"

Everyone snaps their heads at the girl that the question was pointed towards. She lets out a sigh and lifts up her left hand, so everyone can see her mark. Their eyes widen in shock. She had lied to them about her hand being heavily scarred.

"I said I would protect all of you" (Y/n) says with a small, sad smile, "So don't worry."

A titan suddenly peers its head into the hole of the window. Its greedy hand outstretched right behind (Y/n). They scream at her to get away, but she turns her whole body towards the titan. She lifts up her left arm, and with a grunt, air builds up in her hands making her hair whip back. She lets the ball of air go. It slams into the titan's hand, throwing it back across the street down below and into the houses.

"How..." Jean mumbles, falling onto his knees as he stares at the girl in front of him.

(Y/n) slowly turns back to everyone, making sure to see everyone's expression. She takes in a deep breath, "I've been hiding a secret, I'm a demon."

They couldn't respond to her, everything was complete chaos so they couldn't understand what was going on. First the colossal titan, then the intelligent titan, and now a demon? What in the world was going on? No one could say anything. 

"We have to go down to resupply that gas tanks so we can get to the wall" (Y/n) states and makes her way towards the Garrisons hiding under the desks. She kicks the desk away from them, pointing her sword at them, "Tell me what's the situation here or I will kill both of you for abandoning us."

"Titans have infiltrated the stock room! We can't get down there" one of them replies and holds his hands up in surrender, "Please don't kill us!"

"Tch" (Y/n) mutters and flings her blade onto the desk that she had kicked away right behind them. The blade had cut off a few strands of the guy's hair, "Armin, that intelligent titan won't hold up all those titans. We have to make a plan to get down into the supply room to restock on gas."

Armin nods his head, understanding the situation they were in. He was hesitant though, at getting closer to his friend. Hell, he didn't even know if she truly was his friend. He found it hard to believe that someone so kind was threatening the lives of the Garrison soldiers. 

The leftover Garrion soldiers explained the situation to the 104th Cadet Corps. There were seven 3 to 4-meter titans in the supply room. (Y/n) was sitting next to Annie on the floor, watching Armin inform them on what they were going to do. The people with the best ranks were going to sweep down and cut the nape of the titan's while the other cadets will be lowered and use the guns to shoot the titans.

"What are we going to do about (Y/n)?" a random cadet asks and points at the girl, "She could be an enemy!"

"Shut up" (Y/n) replies and stands up, "I saved all of you guys."
