Adams POV:

My phone rang at 5 pm I glanced at my phone before answering the ID caller is Eric. I forgot today is his fiancé proposal. What am I going to do with Scarlet? We have a lot of work to do.

"Hey buddy how are you? Don't tell me that you forgot what is today?"

"Sorry bro, you know I had a very busy schedule."

"Adam you are going to come right?"

"Eric off course I am going to come it's my brother day"

"Okay bro and I have a surprise for you."

"Don't tell me you set me up again."

"You know me well but this girl is very precious to me and Alex if you hurt you will regret it."

"Why would I hurt her when I didn't even saw her or talked to her and its not like I am interested anyway."

"Adam you're 28 I think its time for you to settle down and have a family."

I rolled my eyes, why do everyone want me to settle down and get married. It's my life and I do whatever I want in it.

"Did my father call you and tell you anything about convincing me or something. And if I am right. What you are doing is useless"

"Whatever, I have to go for the meeting."

We ended the call then I called for Scarlet to tell her to go home since we finished the document for the French company. I left the company and went back home to get ready for the party. At 7 I was outside my friends new villa. I rang the bell and when the door opened I was shocked to see this beautiful hazel nut eyes in front of me. She was concentrating in fixing the light when she opened the door which gave me the chance to check her. She was wearing a black dress that hugged her body very well that showed her curves. When she looked at me I covered my shock with a light cough. She ushered me inside with a confused smile.

I saw Ethan and started to talk with him, I asked him from where he knew Scarlet, he told me she is his sister I was shocked.

"Shit! Is she the girl Eric was talking about" i thought.

"Why didn't you tell me before you have a sister?"

"I talked about her a lot you just forgot." He shrugged when looked around I saw her struggling with the decoration. I decided to help when she refused I kept insisting. When Scarlet knew that I am Ethan's friend and I have shares in his new company helping him she got so angry that he never talked about me and Ethan seemed not to know that I am her boss.

"I am wondering why she didn't work at her brother company"I asked myself.

When Scarlet and I started to argue about the decorations both of us started to yell a little girl came and hit my leg. I looked at her she was frowning at me she looked so cute.

"Don't yell at Scar or I will hit you to death." she said then Scarlet carried her and gave her a small smile. "Oh my god Sarah, thank you." she gave her a kiss then let her down.

I picked her up and tickled her she laughed so hard.

"How would you kill me when you can't even stop laughing."

The day passed with playing with Sarah, decorating and Erics proposal. Sarah fell asleep in my arms Scarlet took her from me saying that Sarah never got so comfy around any stranger.

I wanted to ask her if Sarah is her daughter or Little sister but I guess maybe her sister as she didn't called Scarlet mom. She always call her by her nick name.

It was about time to leave I asked Scarlet to give her a ride back to her house as Ethan have some important work and Alex will spend the night with Eric.

She refused at first saying that she will call an Uber but when Eric and Ethan told her that they will be worried about her and it would be safer to let me return her back home.

"Okay just for you both." Scarlet said hugging them.

I took Sarah from the couch and ushered Scarlet to the car.

"You look so beautiful today, you know that?"

"You look good."she blushed.

I looked at her beautiful eyes and her blushing checks. I leaned to her ears and whispered in her ears.

"You look more beautiful when you blush." I flirted.

"Your charms will never work on me Mr. Valentino and I am always beautiful." she said teasingly.

"Oh so let see if my charms will work on you or not." I challenged her.

"OH! I can assure you that it won't work on me you know why because I am not one of those whores you know." she frowned.

"Okay, we will see then." I winked at her.

When we got to the car I placed Sarah at the back seat, Scarlet took the front seat and I started to drive when she gave me the directions to her house. After 30 minutes we got in front of her house. When she got out of the car and started to walk to the back seat to carry Sarah, I stopped her.

"I will carry her and put her in bed." at least I should be a gentleman for once.

"No thanks I don't want to trouble you." she squinted her eyes at me giving me a tight smile trying to figure out my inner thoughts.

"I didn't ask.I said I will do so." I carried Sarah then waited to her to lead the way but she kept staring at me trying to know why I act like a gentleman and I don't blame her.

"Will you lead the way and open the door I ushered my hand towards her house door." She walked awkwardly towards the door and opened it then ushered me to a bedroom. I placed Sarah on the bed then glanced at the bedroom there were Scarlet photos of her childhood and Sarahs photos with Scarlet and Ethan.

"Thank you. And sorry for the trouble." Scarlet said while looking at the floor.

I walked towards her and lifted up her chin to look up to me in the eyes. I looked at her beautiful hazel nut eyes.

"Don't say that. I liked Sarah already." I bend towards her ear and whispered. She cleared her throat than pushed me and walked outside the room I followed her until we stopped in front of the exit. She looked at me in the eye expressionless and opened the door ushering her hand for me to get out.

"Its too late you know its not good that you stay longer than that just you and me alone and not to mention we have work tomorrow and I need to sleep to be on time or my 'moody' boss will fire me." she smirked.

"I think your moody boss won't like it when he hears that I smirked and walked towards the door." When I was about to get out I turned and looked at her.

"Don't be late tomorrow as you said your 'moody' boss wont like it I threatened her with a smirk.

She frowned then suddenly shut the door in my face.

I think she got what I mean.
