Chapter 22

Adam's POV:

I companied Scarlet outside the hall she was trembling with fear. I just don't know what is she afraid of that made her tremble like that i made me want to know who is this person to chop his head off. I don't know why i want to protect her that much.

"Scarlet calm down you are safe with me. Don't worry i will help just tell me who is that person and i will erase him from this world like he never been here." I said while rubbing her back to calm her down. She looked at me with unreadable expression. She made me feel like she want to kill me or something.

"You're the last person i will share my secrets with." She snapped at me with shaky voice due to her unstable breathing.

"Scarlet i swear i will help just tell me who." I said she pushed me to get out of my grab.
"You're all the same." She spat
"If we are the same why do you trust Eric with your secrets."
"He never raise his hand on me. He is always a gentleman and he made me feel like he is my second brother. He is a real definition of a man."
Before i could say anything Ethan, Eric and the girls came. Ethan pulled Scarlet into his arms ,she buried her face on his chest and he hugged her tightly as if he is her shield that is protecting her.

"Ethan he saw me. He saw me Ethan. He smirked at me cruelly after what he had done to me. He wasn't ashamed at all." She whispered while crying in his embrace so no one could hear except the him and i as i was close to them. When she said those words there was pain across Ethan's face and his breath became shaky.

"What has happened Scarlet tell me." Alex said worriedly while putting her hand on Scarlet's back. But scarlet didn't reply at her she tightened her grab on Ethan's coat.

"Are you okay Scarlet? We may help you, just tell us and none will hesitate to help you." Aron said with carrying tone.

I saw Jonas running towards us. I don't know why is this guy running after her. Francois told me that he saw Jonas getting out from the same room she was in. I wonder what happened there i felt uncomfortable with a unexplainable why.

"Hey what happened? I saw Scarlet getting out with Adam then all of you guys where running out of the hall. Is everything is okay?" He said worriedly.

"Why would you care?" I spat at him.
"What's you're deal Adam? I was checking if anything happened so i could help." He said with irritation.
"We don't need you help." Shouting at him.
"Have respect Adam. I don't want to pick up a fight with you right now." He shouted back snapping with his finger.
"Hey hey both of you enough! It's not the time or the place to fight or shout." Francois shouted at us when i looked around i found everyone was watching our fight. Even Scarlet turned around looking at us with anger.

Jonas seemed to see Scarlet trembling and leaning at Ethan for support looking at us with anger so he moved towards her.
"Scarlet what is going on? Why are you trembling?" He asked but she didn't reply at him.
"Did he do anything to you?" He pointed his finger at me. She breathed slowly and kept silent for a minute everyone's eyes were on me except Eric and Ethan as they knew the truth.

I looked at Scarlet raising an eyebrow at her, shoving my hands in my pockets and lifting all my weight on my right leg. She looked at me than at him shaking her head in disagreement.

"Scarlet tell me is he threatening you?" Jonas asked again. Is he crazy or something? Did she tell him anything?
"I already answer you Jonas so stop it" She shouted.
"Look Jonas i am so tired. Let's talk another day i have had enough." He nodded at her then hold her hand.
"I am sorry for stressing you. I will talk to you tomorrow." He said and scarlet nodded at him with that he left.

"Scarlet i will sleep today at your house." Ethan said
"Can we too?" Nelly,lily and jasmine said at the same time. Which made Scarlet laugh the nodded her head at them. They cheered.
Aron and Francois looked at each other with surprise then at Ethan. Ethan laughed and shrugged at them.

"What about us?" Said Francois and Aron at the same time.

Lily and jasmine shrugged and looked at their husbands before hugging them and whispering something in their ears making them groan in annoyance.

"We agreed to spend the rest of the night night with each other." Aron said to Jasmine. She winked at him before saying. "No pain no gain." Then winked at him making him frown.

"You are a kidnapper Scarlet. We should have been cautious of you." Said Francois with a chuckle. Scarlet laughed before saying. "It's not my fault that you're not enough for them." She winked at them.

I wonder how could she be this funny when she is sad and in fear i could see that her hands are still trembling and still leaning on Ethan.

"Let's go girls." Said Ethan.
"Alex and Nelly I will send you to the house as there won't be a place for all of you." Said Eric. They nodded at him and started to walk.

After watching them leaving i have agreed with my brothers that i will stay and they wanted to stay at my house so they stayed with me for the rest of the ball.
