Annie's POV

I woke up not feeling any different, I actually thought I’ll feel so different today, I thought I’ll grow bigger than I am right now, that's the feeling everyone shares on their birthday and I'm not an exception, am I? my 24th birthday seems to be the worst ever, mom didn't even wake me up with birthday chants like she used to do and Grace is here sleeping and snoring peacefully, I got up from the bed, prayed to God for keeping and preserving me till now and then went into the bathroom to bath, I returned back into the room and didn't meet grace where could she have gone without bathing and brushing? that girl won't cease to amaze me

I wore a simple blue gown and then sat on the bed expecting Ryan's call, isn't he going to call me to wish me on my birthday or doesn't he know that today is my birthday? well, I can't blame him though, my so called bestie and my mom hasn't wished me yet, this is the worst birthday ever, the door suddenly opened revealing Grace carrying a cake with my mom trailing behind and my dad beside her, I happily jumped on my dad, it's been so long since I've seen him, he actually travelled with Ryan's dad and now that he's back, it means Ryan's dad is also back

"happy birthday my princess" he muttered patting me on my back

"happy birthday dear" mom added

"happy birthday bestie" grace giggled

"be quick to make a wish because I can't wait to dig in this cake" she muttered happily. I was here thinking no one remembered today's my birthday not knowing they were all preparing to surprise me

"I wish............."

"now blow the candles"

I blew out the candles and grace took the cake downstairs

"what's your plan for today?" mom asked

"I don't have any mom; I'll just spend the day with you all by my side"

"won't you meet up with Ryan?" she asked

"no way mom, I can't stay with that grumpy guy, no way"

"wherever “mom muttered and left with Dad, grace came in later with a mouth full of cake

"you want some?" she asked

"who wouldn't want to eat her own birthday cake? “I replied

"can you believe Ryan hasn't called to wish me yet?" I dropped

"wow, wow, wow, I hope it's not what I’m thinking, you're seriously waiting for Ryan's call? that's so sweet, my bestie is finally falling" she said and giggled

"stop it grace, I’m not falling for anybody, okay?"

            Grace's POV

I know Annie's falling for Ryan already but she wouldn't admit it, I think it's time to execute my plan, I walked out of the room to settle in the sitting room, I sent a message to both Ryan and Annie using a strange number to meet me at the crown hotel to find out about each other's secret, yeah I already booked a hotel room for them, it's has been decorated and a gift has also been placed there, this is so going to be fun

  Annie's POV

I received a strange message on my phone, but what could it be, this number isn't saved on my phone

"if you want to know what Ryan's hiding, meet me at the crown hotel, room 101 at exactly five pm" I knew Ryan's been seeing a girl and I'll find out who that is thanks to this strange person

   Ryan's POV

I was about to call Annie to wish her a happy birthday when a message popped on my phone, "meet me at the crown hotel, room 101 at exactly five pm to find out what your betrothed has been hiding". what? what secret could Annie be keeping huh? could she possibly have a boyfriend? But when I asked she said she doesn’t have one. did she lie to me? Just when I had ended things with Rachael? I will figure that out first and then wish her later...
