  At the hotel

   Annie's POV

I arrived at the hotel after lying to my parents and Grace that I ‘m going to get something at the mall, they mustn’t find out about this "can you please show me to room 101" I asked the receptionist

"it's on the second floor" she replied

"thanks so much “I uttered and then took to the stairs, I don't why I feel so anxious about meeting this person, the marriage can't halt even if I find out Ryan has a girl, I just need to be there to at least know who the girl is, I planted a soft knock on the door and it opened to reveal the greatest shock of my life

"what are you doing here?" we both asked referring to each other

"you first, why are you here?" he asked

"won't you at Least allow me in "I asked and he paved way for me to pass

"well I received a message from someone that I should meet him here "

"you received a text?" he asked

"yeah" I replied

"can I see the message?" he asked

"sure" I replied and handed over the phone to him, "meet me at crown hotel, room 101 at exactly five pm to know what your betrothed is hiding “he read out

"this is the same message I received and it's from the same number"

"seriously?” I asked …. But does he actually think I’m hiding something from him? "I’m damn serious about it or do you want to take a look at it?” he asked

"no don't worry, but could this be a set up?" I asked

"well, there's only one way to find out, we'll have to wait for the person to give explanation for all this "Ryan said

"well.... okay then.... let's wait “I stuttered, I'm right beside Ryan now yet he didn't wish me or doesn't he know today's my birthday? he's even here because he thinks I have a secret......well I can't blame him I'm also here to find out who his mysterious girl is...I really hope this isn't a set up

"I’m sorry it's coming late, Happy birthday" he finally said and I felt so elated, why?

"thanks “I replied pricking my nails, it's six thirty already and this person still hasn't arrived, I'm starting to feel uncomfortable, I received another message from the person which I perceived Ryan also did

" so sorry for keeping you waiting, I'll be there soon" I read out

"did you also receive the text? "I asked

"yeah, the person said he'll be here soon, let's just hope he does" he replied

it's now seven thirty and there's no traces of the person coming, I'll just wait till it's eight thirty and then leave if he still hasn't arrived, Ryan received another message which I didn't receive and he looked confused, then he brought out a box from the side of the bed

"here, this is for your birthday" he said handing me the box, I hesitated a little before collecting it from him, I didn't even expect this from him yet he's offered me one

"thanks"

"it's nothing," he replied

I brought out my phone to go through some things when I saw that it was already nine

"I think I need to get going" I muttered and stood to leave

"I should get going too “he said standing up, but then it began to rain so heavily that you would actually think the building was going to collapse, this is one of the things I detest most cause once it touches me I'll start feeling headaches which might make me fall sick

"I don't think I can leave again" I said sitting back on the bed

"cause of the rain?" he asked

"yeah, I might fall sick if I get drenched and you know the wedding is in two days “I replied

"well...then ... let's sleep together" he said …… am I hearing things or did he just suggest we sleep together?
