After the little party arranged by our friends, we dispersed to go and meet our parents.

Luke held my left hand while Faith clung on to my right side...these two will never change, they may look cold and hard on the exterior but they are real babies on the inside.

Since Kate's mom was seated with our mom, she trailed behind is, but mainly because she was on her phone.

We approached the table our parents where at and we plopped down on the empty seats displayed in front of us.

I don't know about my friend and siblings, but I sure was tired. God knows that.

“Hey kiddos, wassup?” Kate's mom asked.

“Tired.”

“Sleepy.”

“Yeah, hi.”

Kate didn't even answer, she was too busy on her phone to notice.

“Kate.”

“Kate!”

Ughh...

“Kate!!!.”

She flinched because of how I shouted her name.

“What?”

Seriously??

“Kate, your mom was asking a question?”

“Oh, sorry Mom, what did you say?”

Can't she just pay attention... sometimes I wonder how she got to be my best friend...

“My darling daughter, I said wassup?”

“Nothing really Mom.”

By the looks of things, I'm going to doze off soon and Luke isn't even helping matters, he's already asleep on Mom's laps, no shame there, I'm sure Faith is going to tease him about this.

He's the senior prefect of the school yet he's acting like a real baby sleeping on his Moms’ laps, he surely won't hear the end of this, but now, I too, want to lay on someone's laps.

It's comforting.

I wonder if Kate would mind.

“Kate?”

“Hmm?” She responded not looking up once from her phone.

“Can I lie down on your laps?”

“Of course you can.”

“Thanks.”

I immediately laid down and positioned myself in a good way so that my neck won't hurt when I wake up...neck aches are the worst.

I soon dozed off...

I heard Kate say something but I didn't catch it, I was already in my own bubble.

                                                              💦💦💦

Tired, that was how id explain how I was feeling right now, my whole body hurts. Positioning myself to sleep didn't do me any good after all.

I checked the time, it was past one. I really didn't sleep for that long then why do I feel so tired already.

My head almost came in contact with the under of the table, I almost forgot that I had asked Kate if I could lay on her laps.

That would have woken everyone up.

Our parents were no where in sight, what if they left?

No, mom would never leave without telling me, right?
